Neptunes arm has no real tourist value as its just part of the weir. It does do what it's meant to do as we found a few very sad boats on a dry heap of sand when the flood was out. But yeah, wouldn't say this is a must-see or a reason to visit Herne Bay.

My partner and I visited on a very windy day and took a walk along the arm. The sea was quite choppy but we braved it anyway. A few meters along the arm a massive wave crashed into the rocks and we got soaked! We decided to carry on walking as we were already wet. At the end of the arm there is lovely views out to sea and along Hearn bay and you see the Reculver Towers. On our way back along the arm we were judging the waves and running in between them hitting the rocks so we managed to dry out a little.

It's a lovely walk with lovely views just take an umbrella or wear a waterproof jacket!

we were recomended this great little spot to take the best photos of the famoursnHerne Bay sunsets and we we not dissapointed. The entrance is from the Neptunes Car Park. Then a leisurely walk to the viewing tower, watching all the jet skis, and little boats and fisherman going about their business was lovely experience. Tranquil.

Walked along the Neptunes Arm about 4.30 today watching all the Jetskies and little boats coming back into the Harbour. There is a viewing platform accessed from and Iron staircase. Lovely views. Seemed to be the pinnacle point for couples to have a bit of a smootch :)
