“Fabulous”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2013

The Kings Hall is used for all sorts of events and functions. There is also an art gallery in the entrance hall which exhibits some really interesting works of art. There is a cafe. All of this and just a stones through from the town, beach and the beautiful downs.

We visited to see an exhibition of local art. Good space in interesting old building on the sea front.

“A promising start”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2012

I went to the first of this season's music gigs held at the King's Hall. I was disappointed by the sound quality as the vocals could not be heard in the mix. The atmosphere was also a bit flat as the venue was half empty, which was a shame. The drink prices at the bar were also quite expensive. On the plus side, they used wristbands so you pop outside during the breaks, loos were clean, and with the thin crowd it was easy to get close to the front and get a good view! I also applaud the new promoter Viva La Sociale's efforts to bring some well-known bands to this intimate little venue, rather than the usual tribute acts. Hopefully the programme will grow for next year.
