This is a lovely park worthy of a stroll around on a sunny day. Something for everyone. Centrally sitiuated just behind the swimming baths and cinema.

i walk my dog here quite alot and the pond has been drained of all water, it's not a nice sight, full of litter and the odd duck, the pond used to be a nice place to go but now it looks horrible

This is a well maintained, very pretty park in spring and summer. There is a play area for children, tennis courts and a small lake. The majority of the park is laid to grass and great for playing a game of footie or chilling out :-)

Cannot believe I have only just discovered this local park, having lived in the area for 5 years!! Have taken the kids to the play park that is on the Kings Road side and always knew there was a field behind it but didn't realise that beyond that was a lovely little park! We discovered this last week when there was a funfair situated next to the swing park and we were looking for the entrance and stumbled across the park entrance and decided to investigate.

We strolled along the pathway and discovered beautiful flowerbeds, a pond with ducks, a refreshment kiosk with tables/chairs. It was just lovely! We decided to eat our picnic there instead of on the beach (making sure we didn't leave any rubbish behind afterwards, of course).

Mentioned it to some of my friends and they said that during the day the park is fine but not to venture through there in the evening time as you get some unsavoury characters lurking about and a few people had been mugged in there. I guess the same goes for any park really and I wouldn't want to visit a park at night anyway, unless it was for a specific event like the fun fair.

There's plenty of large grassed areas for children to run around freely or play ball games safely, far from the roads.

We liked it and, no doubt, will return again soon!

Last day of the herne bay festival we went to the picnic in the park event. Had a very pleasant day strolling round the park watching events such as the live bands, even played charity bingo and watched men and boys steering their model boats around the pond. It is a lovely unspoilt park in the centre of the town. Well kept and has something for everyone including Tennis Courts and a bowls Green.
