I first visited around a year ago and liked it a lot. Since then it's got even better, with an improved wine list, consistently great food and a welcome from Tony and Lisa each time that makes you feel special. We took family and friends there the night before our wedding and Lisa & Tony could not have done more to make it special evening that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. They shut every January and we were so pleased to be back there on 1 Feb - it now feels like a home from home.

We've just had our wedding reception at The Wine Bar and Lisa & Tony ensured we had a fabulous day. Everybody enjoyed themselves and were made to feel very special. From the moment we all arrived in the morning until late into the night Lisa and Tony worked so hard to make our day the success it was. Lots of our friends said what a fantastic venue. We had plenty of choices for our lunchtime menu and we all thoroughly enjoyed. In the evening the buffet was fantastic with lots of various platters including fresh seafood which was delicious. If anyone else wants to have a small wedding reception or celebration we would highly recommend The Wine Bar for the personal touch and attention to detail that we received. Thank you both so much for a great day.

Lovely downstairs bar and restaurant, the food on the menu reasonably priced and the bar staff and customers were also nice, it may be classed as a small premises but I'd say its worth a visit for sure !!

Whether you want an informal drink at the bar, a quiet meal for two or a friends and family get together, as we had recently, The Wine Bar on Mortimer Street can do it all. Lisa is a great front of house host and Tony cooks up a storm in the kitchen. All the food is fresh, not a freezer in sight, and there's a good choice from a well put together menu. Would recommend the grilled goats cheese and the steaks although there is always a great choice of fresh fish dishes. This place is such a find! We only moved to the area in December and are very pleased to call ourselves regulars.
