I went to Wildwood with a 5 year old and a 6 year old. We listened to two very interesting talks about the Wolves and the Deer (we even had a potted talk on the Bison and Boar).

This is a lovely wooded area and for once we don't have to take a packed lunch as the food is reasonably priced with a good choice (including healthy and vegetarian options).

The girls loved the animals but also looked forward to the play park at the end where they had a wonderful time.

Wildwood do some wonderful work in conservation and support of these super animals all of which have been resident in this country in the past (or at least in Europe for a couple). It is also great to see the wind turbine, solar panels and recycling going on.

Good family attraction. Took my grown up daughters last year and the wolves actually howled for us. Enjoyed it.

We were lucky to visit Wildwood on a warm, sunny day at the end of September when there were few other visitors. It was lovely to see the red squirrels, beaver, bison, wolves, etc., but we were disturbed to see the Iberian Lynx and even some of the squirrels seeming to demonstrate some repetitive behaviour. The enclosures also seemed quite small for the birds. It would be good if some information was available to explain what the longer-term plans are for the creatures being held. We did see some explanation about why magpies and the more common birds were being held.

That said, it is a lovely setting and it is always great when an organisation takes action to save species.

What a lovely wooded site. It could probably get a bit muddy under foot during wet weather, but on a dry day such as when we visited it was a lovely relaxing stroll amongst the animals. Good signage on the enclosures as well.

we pay £5 per month on standing order and for this we are supporting an ever growing and improving animal park and we use it like our back garden.5 grand daughters have made noise that would register on the richter scale and stood in silent amazement and wonder looking at the animals close up.This is not Aspinals or London zoo it is a child friendly animal park with very friendly wardens,a good sized play area and a wicked cup of tea at the cafe, although i have not eaten there haven't seen many untouched plates.

Thank 4taday
