I don't get the other reviews on here saying £8.50 is expensive for parking. It all goes back into the upkeep of the park and there is no separate admission fee. The play areas were brilliant as were the trails to explore. We also rode the short loop of the family cycle trail with 2 boys ages 5 and 8. They managed ok but the path is a bit gravelly and inclined in some parts. You can also rent bikes if you don't want to bring your own. We brought a picnic but topped with up with some food in the cafe which was fresh and tasty. Oh and there are sometimes archery lessons, 1 hr for 6yrs+ which we will check out next time. They suggest booking that in advance. Overall highly recommended.

A Beautiful location, well worth a visit. The only gripe would be how 'some parents' think the whole site, particually the cafe area is an extension of the kids adventure playground

.It may be the bohemion way to let little 'felix' or darling 'Prudence' run wild chasing ducks and mowing down people on their bikes but its not what all customers want to see and hear.

Come on Bedgbury some rules and regs on this near 'adult' areas please?

Thank you for your comments and feedback. I am very pleased you enjoyed your visit to Bedgebury. We try to keep our rules and regulations on site to a minimum and rely as much as we can on parents taking responsibility for themselves and their children. However, I fully accept this does not always work and will discuss your comments with the team that manage the Visitor Centre.
Thank you. Mark Clixby. Recreation Manager

We have been here quite a few times for concerts, with family and friends and just as a couple and every time we leave with a smile on our face and a sense of relaxation.

This place is set out very well and has everything anyone would want to have a great day out. The place is child, animal, bike.....basically anything friendly.

A lot of time and thought has gone into making this place a great get away for all the family. There is a great trial with lots of climbing areas etc for the kids. There are some excellent bike trials as well as perfectly beautiful walks through the woods etc. The place is so big and well set out that you are not all in one place, so if your idea of heaven is a peaceful stroll there are miles of woods to wander through.

It's great to keep on coming back and see even more improvements going on. This place just gets better and better.

A real gem of a place and what anyone else says about parking, for this experience, £8.50 for a car is not bad at all. This is a superb day out to tire the kids out, to get that little bit closer to nature and see how we can work with nature instead of just destroying it and to most of all just relax.

Top marks, top place, well worth a visit.

I have been going to Bedgebury Forest Concerts with friends for a number of years now. The forestry commission launched concert tours back in 2001 and Bedgebury is one of the locations. Since that time the concerts have grown in stature, and what better way to enjoy music than in a beautiful location. Proceedes from the concert are fed back into the Forestry Commission who's aim it is to protect and expand forests and woodlands and increase their value to society and the environment; so all in a good cause. Blondie was outstanding and her voice is as good as it was back in the day. She sang new songs as well as old hits and it was apparent that her music hasn't really dated. The location itself is ideal for concerts and is well organised, with plenty of parking marshals and security staff. Food and soft drinks are available to purchase but most people take thier own picnics and comfy chairs. Alcohol can be consumed but must be decanted into plastic bottles or wine boxes. Porta loos are brought in and queing for the loo was kept to the minimum. As with any outside event in this country, the weather plays a massive role and of course it poured down for most of the time Blondie was on stage. This didn't dampen the spirit of the crowd who were laughing, dancing and singing along. Leaving the venue always takes a bit of time, but you would expect this with a large crowd all leaving the venue in their cars at the same time. A great night out come rain or shine and I'm sure the other participating forest venues are the same.

Visited last weekend with my children 6&4 years old with bikes, very good day out and got annual membership for £56 for 2 car registrations. You can park for free just outside but I prefer to contribute as we make use of the facilities and they wouldn't be there if some people supported them!

Thank you for your comments. I am very pleased that you all enjoyed your visit and decided to take out the annual membership. We too are very keen to encourage all visitors to park on site as all the monies raised goes back into the site to help maintain all the facilities we have on offer. The membership is great value and costs just over £1 / week and some of it goes directly to supporting learning and the important work of the national tree collection
