This was our second visit to this very good pub/restaurant. On both occasions we were going for a meal not for the pub atmoshpere, so cannot comment on that. The seafood was the reason we chose it originally having been recommended by friends. We were not disappointed then or last week. The food is very good - the chef certainly know his fish and knows that the simple way is the best way if you are dealing with the best, freshest produce. Starters include milts on toast, moules marinere and linguine with scallops. The sea bass and fish pie were recommended particularly as main courses.
The "restaurant" area is a typical back room area of a traditional pub and so lacking atmosphere, but if you are going there for good food and friendly service at a fair price in a beautiful part of the country you won't be disappointed.
