This Premier Inn is brilliant but the thing with all budget hotels the beds are very uncomfortable. Apart from this a brilliant Premier Inn probably one of the top ones. The food at Brewers Fayre is lovely and the play area outside is good for kids. All of the views at this hotel are good but some people may not like a little bit of noise from traffic so the car park is better.

Room Tip: All rooms are usually good at this Premier Inn. Better facing retail park a better view.

We love staying at premier inns and usually sleep very well, however this hotel is in a slightly tired state - clean but needs modernising, it was also ridiculously hot! We could not sleep as it was unbearable, after a very uncomfortable night (can't open windows properly, fan too noisy and just blows hot air anyway) it was still 29 degrees - and had been hotter during the sleepless night! This was even though it had only been around 19/20 degrees outside in the evening and had poured with rain during the night (as I gasped the cool night air through the open window!) Either there was a problem with the room or premier inns need to start installing air conditioning. However, the staff were very nice and friendly and were quick to refund me the cost of the room when I mentioned the problem - (the first time I have ever complained after many stays in Premier inns around the country) although I would much prefer a good night sleep!

Perfect for visiting family, which is what we were doing. Staff always friendly and always where you needed them to be, at any time! Honorable Pilot was also very friendly and accommodating, with fabulous food!

First I would like to mention that I found the staff at the hotel extremely friendly and accommodating, which made our stay more comfortable.
I stayed for 9 nights with my family (2 adults and 2 children) at the Gillingham business park hotel. The room was very basic but clean and well maintained. We stayed during the recent very hot July month and it was a struggle as there is no air conditioning and the room was like a sauna. Very little cool air came in from the small window and leaving it open all night mean being kept awake by the busy traffic noise from the main road opposite the hotel. The main bed was comfortable and my wife and young son slept fine on it. The two singles provided on the other hand were atrocious. Both my daughter and I had fairly bad back pain after a few days and this only got worse as the week went on. I mentioned this to reception and was offered extra duvets but they made little difference.
Overall I would say that our discomfort was partly due to factors outside the hotels control and partly due to the facilities in the room. Unfortunately the end result was some long sleepless nights. I mentioned this as I left the hotel and provided my room number so maybe the hotel will take my concerns seriously and make any improvements they can.

I stay in Premier Inns a lot and have done so over 30 years (from Travel inn days!) - this was the usual high standard of cleanliness and welcoming staff. BUT the food in the Brewers Inn next door was dreadful. As a vegetarian the choice on the standard menu was minimal - Greek salad or vegetarian lasagne - how boring can you get? The daily menu was (for vegetarians) pasta or pizza. I walked down into the village and found a Thai restaurant serving a 3 course meal for £9.95 - tasty and satisfying! What is it with these places that they are so uninterested in offering good veggie food?

Room Tip: Don't eat in the Brewers Fare if you are Vegetarian!!!!

My review got 3 stars just due to the staff who we encountered who were all so lovely and friendly. Always polite, and welcoming. The room was standard to normal premier inns (which I have stayed in many), but far too hot. No a/c, though a fan was provided (which circulated hot air!). The shower was awful, half of the holes being blocked, so the water was no more than a trickle. All other aspects of the room were fine (aside from car-park noise as the window was always open due to temperature!). Not worth the £156 cost for 2 nights though. Would recommend if cheaper.

Stayed for 3 nights in a twin room. Liked this hotel, usual Premier inn design.
Staff where polite, room was clean and breakfast which was taken in the adjacent brewers fayre was very good.
Breakfast staff where very helpful and polite.
The hotel is at the edge of Gillingham, so not near the town centre, limited shops near by.
Large free carpark, and several local buses stop yards from the hotel.
would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for one away from the main road, to avoid noise.
