“Nice ...”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

Only been here once, but very nice, good food and nice size meals
The staff were friendly overall good value for money.
Had a job to park, but that was the only downside
Will return again in the quite near future, and recommend.

“pity about the 'wiltshire ham'”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

this pub is within 10 minutes drive of our home but this was our first visit for a long time.

firstly the car park is very small for the size of the pub. the pub inside is clean and fresh the staff smart and helpful, the menu extensive and contained many of our favourite lunches.
we ordered 'wiltshire ' ham, eggs, chips with peas. the eggs chips and peas were excellent and plentiful, the ham was another matter, three very slim slices of what can only be described as plastic ham. one slice of decent ham would have been preferred.

two moderate glasses of lemonade cost four pounds, which we felt a bit on the high side

we will however revisit but not for 'wiltshire ham'.

“Fantastic Service! Lovely Food!”
Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

Came here for a 60th birthday lunch. They hired the cosy function room, with it's own bar and we had the roast. Lovely staff and the food was great!

“A restaurant worth the journey”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

Have eaten here several times for lunch in recent weeks. Always very good food well prepared and professionally served. It is very much a pub-restaurant with orders taken over the bar but there is a good range of choices and plentiful portions. As well as the expected favourites there are some hearty snacks that could hardly be described as a 'light lunch'. There is also a useful children's' menu. The restaurant seems to be open all day; they seem happy to serve lunched all afternoon!

“Hidden Gem”
Reviewed August 2, 2013 via mobile

Drive past this place regularly so decided to book a table for a Friday night. Food was fabulous, best fish I've ever had but the thing that made the night was Chris the barman. A charming young man who made the effort to chat to us & gave great service. Nothing was too much, he's a credit to the pub/restaurant. Courtesy car is a lovely touch. Will be back soon with friends as I cannot fault it. Great value & beautiful setting.
