Description: The Harrow Inn at Lidsing Pub & Restaurant in Kent is a fantastic country Pub and Restaurant, steeped in over 220 years of history and heritage.Located in the small Hamlet of Lidsing, just outside Maidstone, Gillingham and Lordswood the building itself has lost none of its character and boasts a spacious bar and restaurant, cozy log burner fireplace for the winter months and a spacious well kept beer garden with a bespoke childrens climbing frame for hot summers days. Built in 1786, the pub has a long history, and today offers a cosy bar and a restaurant, serving real ales, draft beer, lagers, fine wines and freshly prepared food from its menu.

Had lunch here but was not impressed with the food, had fish and chips as it looked a good choice on the menu but chips were very chunky and dry and the fish was probably from a supermarket value pack, all hard batter and chewy fish. Companion diners were also disappointed with there choices. Don't think we shall pay another visit.

We visited as a group of 6, 4 adults and 2 children after a trip to the ski centre. We happened to pass and decided to stop for lunch and I'm very glad we did.
An extensive menu , so much so that it was very difficult to choose from all the fabulous food.
The service was the best I have had for a very long time, very happy and friendly staff.
The food was lovely with very generous portions. I had the Dirty Sanchez Chicken burger and would highly recommend it!
Great children's play area too and a lovely garden ( too cold for us to sit in today!)
We will be returning!
Shame we don't live within 4 miles as they also offer you a complimentary lift home!

Checked out the menu online before arriving and it looked great but that was as good as it got. No atmoshphere, the fish was clearly Asda smart price straight out of the packet into the microwave and the sausages were just paste and tasteless.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. We drove past The Harrow Inn on the way to Hempstead Valley we decided we would have lunch in there on our way back home.
The gardens and play area are a credit to the owners, both are kept well to extremely high standards. The interior has a very welcoming feel, newly decorated and clean.
There is a wide variety of food to choose from the extensive menu. The portion size is more then fair and definitely value for money.
The elderly waiter was more than attentive to all our needs, told us about the loyalty card scheme and the free courtesy car service they run. He also told us they can cater for private functions in the newly refurbed function room.
All in all, I'm glad we decided to stop there for lunch, we will definitely be returning to sample more of the menu.
