“For the football fan, maybe”

Priestfield Stadium
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Unless one has a strong urge to watch Gillingham FC, or the visiting opposition, why visit. Ticket prices are high for the standard of football and one of the stands is nothing more than an uncovered scaffold erection. Apart from wine, dine and watch ticket (£50, last season's price) where the sit down meal is reasonable, with a seat in the main stand, there is not much else to commend the place.,

You'll either love it or hate it depending on if you like the Gills.

Like most older stadiums the facilities are the very min they could allow but they do work. The tea is awful though (for the first time I had to throw mine away it was so bad).

If your going to a match then it serves it purpose other than that what's the point!!!

As a Gills supporter i very often go here to watch my team!
I find that although i believe prices are far to high and that to get more people to like the place and go there prices should be changed as not everyone can afford the money it cost. Food and drink during half time is extremely high however it is the price you pay to watch Gills and the expensive experience is at most places these days. The seats are perfect and the pitch is always in a good way. The only thing to complain about would have to be the high prices for tickets and beverages.

As a life long Newcastle supporter (born in the north east!) that has lived in Kent for over 20 years I thought it was time that I showed a bit of interest in one of the "local" teams.
So off I went to see Gillingham Fc and what I found was pleasantly supprising. Tucked away in the mazy Gillingham streets is The Priestfield Stadium, only a small ground but considering its location you can understand why.
The rainham end looks to have gone through some modernisation recently and its a very nice little stand.
A nice row of food stalls under the stand sell some decent quality food including "award" winning pies and also a dominos pizza outlet.
All in all it was an excellant day out at the football for a ticket costing £18

Went for first time in 10 years today. Sure music being played was same as last time.
Very cold day at the Gillingham End no cover at all. Left it until half time to get a drink and missed first 10 minutes of 2nd half, due to slow service not enough staff.
Don't need grass on this pitch as the ball is in the air most of the time. Think the linesmen must be fittest in the country. Plus side was Gillingham won 1-0
Saw a lot of Parents with young children leaving at half time because the Brian Moore stand was cold & exposed. If visiting this ground on a cold day use one of the other 3 covered stands which look very good. Stewards are friendly & I think they moved some younger kids under cover.
