Didn’t book walked in and asked for a table for 2
Very accommodating
Value for money food however not enough veg for 2
One potatoe slice in half over done for one persons main course
As soon as I stated that they offers to get more
Half a sea bass for one as main
Minimal food
Staff accommodating but I could see they were not happy with the feed back
No atmosphere could be such a nice restaurant with nice music , happier staff and the main course bigger and £2 more expensive
I wont go there again and don’t recommend

We loved the stew night in winter and were overjoyed when it started again. The stew was tasty but they have put the price up to £6 and the size is much smaller than before, the bowl was the size of a Japanese rice bowl and only 1 dumpling. I think no matter how tasty it was, the stew portion was not worth £6 and it felt like the establishment is putting the price up and cutting the portion size at the same time. It was so disappointing and we would have been better off going for the al la carte menu! We were going to bring our friends but now decided not to as we felt we were being ripped off. Such a shame as it was a tasty stew but won’t go back again. I gave 2 stars because of taste and service.

We visited on a Thursday in January and were the only customers however we were still made to feel very welcome and had a very enjoyable evening.
The food was delicious and the service very well judged. The restaurant was a warm and comfortable place to eat with quirky railway memorabilia on the walls and a music playlist which we really enjoyed.
We would definitely visit again

Excellent buffet supplied for a funeral, nothing was too much trouble for them. The charges were very fair and we would use again. Thank you so much Nick and Tanya.
