I have lived in this town my whole life and have always been too the Bear Inn as my local,Have always taken my 'non Faversham' visitors to the pub as it is not only steeped in history but also a fantastic place to grab a bite to eat, The menu is 'Pub Grub'and Delicious, I have tried lots of things on the menu, but have to say the Ham and Cheese Savoury Pancakes and devine,And the Homemade Pies are made to perfection, As a non beer drinker I appreciate the nice selection of Gin on offer but have been informed by people I have visited with that the Beer is exceptional and clearly well cared for.Now all of this is great in any pub, but what makes the Bear that mile above any other pub.. The amazing warm and friendly atmosphere where you see people of all ages chatting and drinking together, the culture the Landlord and Landlady have created in this pub is one of community and that everyone is welcomed and treated as if they were regulars of the pub even if its their first visit and this is passed through to the excellent team of staff who work there, All of which have a positive and enthusiastic air about them. Each member of staff have a good knowledge of the background history to the pub and happily share with those who ask.Personally I think it is a must visit if coming to charming Faversham..Booking a table is also possible so suggested as pub can be busy for food service.. You will not be disappointed A absolute Gem of a Pub.

Stopped off mid afternoon and although past their usual lunch time, happily made us 4 rounds of lovely sandwiches followed by a great pint. Friendly and well worth a visit

Was nice to have a beer in one of the oldest ( possibly the oldest) pubs in Faversham. Quiet and cozy atmosphere and friendly staff.

Beautiful pub run by a lovely landlady and landlord with fab staff, all so friendly and welcoming.
With delicious home cooked pub grub and a lovely atmosphere, we love coming here and use regularly between 4-6 days a week. Wether we go in for a quick pint or a meal, we always seem to stay in there for longer as we love the atmosphere.
Lacey, Tim and all staff, we love you and keep up the great work! X
