Description: The Anchor Inn is a beautiful 300 year old pub, just a few minutes walk from Faversham town centre at the terminus of Abbey Street, one of the finest preserved medieval streets in England, and very close to the historic Faversham creek. Some of the beams in the pub are reported to be from the old Abbey in Faversham.

I feel mean saying this but I didn't really like my veggie burger. It just had too much going on and was massively calorific. I'm not sure you need cheddar cheese smothering it as well as halloumi, mushroom, tomato, peanutty burger and brioche. But some people might love it, which is why I give four stars and the staff were great. Photo attached.

Had Sunday lunch here with my Family, a party of 15. Very impressed with the service and quality of the food. Was a bit worried that they wouldn't be able to cope with such a large party in one sitting. No need to worry there. We had to send back 4 or 5 lunches for reheating but other than that, perfect. They offered us generous compensation but we couldn't accept, because the food and service was so good.

Great local pub just 10 minutes walk, passing the brewery, from the market square. very cosy, nice fire and popular with locals and all. A proper pub.

Went for a fab walk around the Faversham countryside ending with a delicious fish and chips at The Anchor. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and very good value!

This is a lovely old pub full of atmosphere with great beers and food. We turned up in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday and were served lunch with no fuss; ham and eggs in one case, and crab meat on toast in the other. Both were excellent and the beer came from the brewery less than a mile away. The pub is a stone's throw from the the old harbour in Faversham and is quite a walk from the town centre, but well worth it. Or you can park down by the harbour.
