I recently has the pleasure of staying at Starborough Manor with a couple of friends. It really did surpass all my expectations. It is one of those few places where it is actually even nicer than on the website.
The grounds and the Manor are stunning and the quality is carried through to the interior. Lynn the Host made us feel more than welcome and the breakfast excelled any 5 star hotel.
It was the perfect place to stay for a trip to nearby Lingfield Racecourse..
I can't recommend this place enough!

Room Tip: I managed to see all the rooms and they were all of a high standard

I stayed at Starborough Manor for two nights in June with my sisters and we had a wonderful weekend. The manor house is absolutely stunning, with wild bunny rabbits bouncing around on the lawn and beautifully manicured grounds and gardens. The rooms were large and charming, decorated beautifully and the house managed to feel both luxurious and homely/ cosy all at once. The manor is close to the Lingfield Races where we spent a great evening, and the shops and bars of Edenbridge. I would highly reccomend a stay here; Lynn is a wonderful host and the breakfasts are fantastic!

First of all sorry for my english. We visited Starborough Manor during our travel through southern England. For the first time, it is a little hard to find. Once found, it was lovely. Our hosts Lynn and Jonathan were so friedly and helpfull. Also the place is lovely, sitated in the green. We had a nice room and everything we needed. This place is highly recommended.

After a hectic tour through the London and English countryside we were looking for a nice place close to Hever Castle to unwind before heading back to Canada. Everything about the experience surpassed our expectations. After driving up the long lane way we come upon this stately manor house set among beautiful grounds including a castle and moat next door. Tea and Lynn's special cake were served in their private kitchen (with a massive Aga stove) while we got to know more about the history of the place. Our very large room and en suite were very modern and tastefully appointed. After a wonderful breakfast the next morning we borrowed Honey (their golden retriever) and a pair of wellingtons and checked out the many walking paths in the area.

Beautiful house and surroundings and if you want peace and quiet, this is the place - tastefully and extensively refurbished, great facilities including large en suite bedrooms and a guest kitchen and lounge and welcoming hosts.
You definitely get what you pay for.
Only drawback is that there are no eating optiion within walking distance and only limited ones close by, but a 10 minute drive expands the range of choices considerably.

We spent just the one night at this lovely manor house and after the experience have promised ourselves a return visit. We were warmly welcomed,by Lynn, as though we were the first guests ever to visit the house. Tea and cake were served in the kitchen before being shown to our spacious, spotless and tastefully decorated room. Lynn was the perfect hostess, recommending places to eat and visit in the locality. At breakfast we met Jonathan, who was equally as charming engaging in conversation about Michael Portillo's stay at the Manor while filming Great Railway Journeys of the World. The breakfast table was adorned with a wide selection of cereals, fresh fruit, jams and preserves and while we ate Lynn was effortlessly preparing the cooked breakfast which was delicious. We cannot recommend Starborough Manor highly enough, it was a first class experience.

Room Tip: The green room is superb!
