We had the rib eye steak and seafood linguine there and were quite impressed by the quality of the products served. The meat was absolutely divine, good chips, the seafood was fresh (mussels and cockles - probably not the prawns). Only let down was the sauce on the linguine which came straight from a tomato tin. Still nice food for a reasonable price.

Went to the Ocean on Saturday evening with family including 2 kids. There was only 1 table left which was by the door to the rear garden, but this was no problem as we had some fresh air(it was a bit warm that evening)
Bought drinks and perused the menu, lot to choose from, typical pub grub on both the menu and specials board. We ordered the kids food first as they were hungry. One wanted chicken nuggets, chips and peas, when it arrived it came with beans which he will not eat, however when explained to staff it was quickly taken away and replaced without a fuss.
When it came to us adults there was a lot of choice, I chose the ribeye steak asked for it rare and was not disappointed , came with chips, battered onion rings, breaded mushrooms, salad, coleslaw and peas.
My good lady had the fish basket, cod , scampi, prawns, calamiri chips and tartare sauce, which she thought was great.
My daughter had the fish pie, she also said was good.
I did see that they had house wine, red or white for £8.99 a bottle a good price compared to others.
After we finished our food we went and sat in the garden, whilst the kids played on the apparatus.
This was my first time at the Ocean and will be going back.
My only criticism the table was a bit sticky

Had fish and chips here as a family of 6, sat in the garden.
Fantastic fish and chips, reasonably priced. Better than some takeaways we've had on the same holiday.
The batter on the fish was light and fluffy, fish appeared fresh and tasted lovely.
Speed of service was good, considering how busy it was.
We would happily return to the ocean inn again if in Dymchurch.

We often go here, especially for Sunday lunch and can honestly say that as to date we have never had a bad meal. The Roast Dinners are superb with fresh al dente vegetables and our son always has the spag bol which he claims is better than mine! There's a little outside play area for the young ones to play whilst you wait for your food. Would recommend the desserts too, very indulgent. Today's roast consisted of chicken, roast spuds, york pud, broccoli, carrots, peas and roasted courgette, stuffing, then finished off with choc honeycomb cheesecake - lovely. If you want a good wholesome sunday lunch right by the beach, then give it a go. ps crayons and colouring pads available for the little'uns on rainy days too.

We were looking for somewhere to watch the football with the kids and the dog, this place was the perfect venue. A few drinks some cheesy chips and Liverpool won, what more could you want. Traditional drinking pub but our chips were great and other food looked good that we saw coming out.
