Enjoyed a great week exploring Deal and environs. A lot of things to do within easy distance from Dover to Canterbury. This cottage is really quaint and the pictures on the internet do not come close to doing it justice. We were just two people but can imagine four could easily manage as the toilet and shower rooms are separate. While there is no designated parking there is plenty of free parking within a matter of yards and we never had a problem finding a spot. Pick up and drop off of keys is a breeze from a hotel a few hundred yards away. Fairly well equipped kitchen too although a larger pot to boil a pasta would not be a bad addition. All in all a great stay and we would return ourselves and easily recommend to all.
Cute, clean and well equipped cottage. Quiet location, no through traffic and sea close enough to enjoy a cuppa on the beach !
Camilla and her team responded quickly to any questions.
We all slept well including the dog , who is normally a early riser .
We stayed in Sandwich two years ago and enjoyed coastal walks and the brilliant Ramsgate Tunnels (must book). So this time we decided to go a little further South to Deal. Loved Deal seafront and prosecco at the cafe on the end of the pier. We enjoyed Margate and Canterbury enroute and Deals castles, amusements, promenading and bars restaurants. Enjoyed fish and chips in nearby takeaway, Chinese delivery and the close by Three Compasses for Sunday Lunch and best syrup sponge pudding I've ever had! Make sure you visit Discovering Britain website for best 6 mile local walk one way with short train trip or £5 taxi. Also good walks in Margate and Dover - loads of fascinating facts!
Keepers Cottage website gives you more cottage details but layout is actually as follows: small kitchen and lounge downstairs (TV bigger than looks as cosy), The first floor offers twin not double bedroom with bathroom and separate toilet. Up another flight to double room and library/walk in wardrobe. As only two of us we pushed twin beds together so we were close to bathroom and less stairs!!
Great lighting, kitchen stuff, fabulous large and fluffy towels, quality beds and sheets, nice welcome fizz, only negative was there was only one huge luxury Dressing Gown, not two as in pictures. Place may have looked a little drab on outside with a rusty lock and in need of wooden fence paint love and attention, but within those walls is a lovely gem of a cosy cottage. Would recommend to anyone.
Perfect seaside retreat, we have lived in Deal and this cottage offers a great location and quant accommodation.
A lovely home. Well equipped and clean, seconds to the sea and minutes to shops. We enjoyed our stay. There were five adults so living room a bit small for all of us, however Camilla did warn us of this beforehand, so can't complain. Would be perfect for four. I want to thank Camilla, she could not have been more helpful, would stay again. Lucy Carey.
Comfortable, attractive cottage, a few yards from the sea. We were four and we found it ideal. Cottage is very well equipped, everything you could need and all of good quality, not always the case in rentals.
From booking through picking up the keys and the actual stay it was a most agreeable experience.

We had a fantastic stay in this cottage. It's beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful touches. The children loved the twin room with the fairy lights and cute hangers. The dogs appreciated the dog treats and we didn't realise that dog bowls and towels would be there - so great! The master bedroom is also beautiful and comfortable. Deal was really nice, the promenade was perfect for scooters / bikes and long dog walks. Would definitely recommend this cottage to other travellers.
