We spent a week in Deal during the coldest month of the year, but Fishman's Cottage was warm and cosy. It had not been used since New Year so took a bit of time to warm up but then was OK.The only problem we had was with the downstairs bathroom, the water in the shower and sink did not run away properly, but a phone call to Fred soon put this right. Dissapointed the second bathroom was downstairs but we managed. Parking is a problem but the owner cannot do anything about this as the problem is inherent with the area. But all in all a good cosy cottage..

I rented this cottage for a week in October 2014, and found the cottage very much to my liking. It is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
I did not have much contact with the owners except for calling to get information about key collection, and meeting him when I did collect the keys, but what I found is that they are friendly and helpful. I was to call if there was any problems and they would come and sort it for me.
The weather was variable, being in October, but I did get to enjoy a cup of coffee in the garden a couple of times.
The only thing I could find to mark down is that the lounge sofa is a bit dated and not the most comfortable. You should also be aware that the stairs to the first floor is a little steep, and there are steps from the dining room to the kitchen.
The cottage has a very good wifi connection, which was very good for my working holiday.
The town centre is within easy walking distance, and there is a good train connection to London.
Deal is a nice little town with a fine beach and a pier. There are smaller shops a few minutes from the cottage, and the High Street is within a 5-10 minutes walk.
