“Sublime Tea Room”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

I have visited twice now, the High Tea is exceptional. Freshly baked cakes, perfect little finger sandwiches and superb service. Set with an outstanding view of Deal castle, this little gem is a haven for ladies that like to take tea and have a natter, visitors to the Castle, families and those seeking a break from life's hustle and bustle.

The interior is smart and elegant, but in a fresh modern way, not stuck in the past. Clean tables and pretty cups and saucers.

The range of cakes, light snacks and beverages is comprehensive, it will cater for all tastes.

You will not be disappointed with this place. Moreover you will want to keep coming back for more of the delicious cake.

“just a little bit different”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

We went in for brunch. the service was excellent - an nice touch being the offer of a jug of water and glasses even before we ordered. The food was nicely cooked and very tasty. The atmosphere was retro - 1950's colours and theme which worked well and the waitress was friendly and efficient. good choice of teas, coffee and herbal teas as well as soft drinks. Don't miss the amazing loo!

“Service”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

The four of us found this Tea Room just out side Deal Castle.
We had popped in for a drink, well talk about service 5 star.
These days that element is sadly missing.
Oh and the drinks were perfect, served in china cups.
I would highly recommend this Tea room.

“Excellent food and friendly staff”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

I can't recommend Keep House Tea Room enough. We were made to feel really welcome by the very friendly staff who were interested in our plans and recommended places to visit. The food was delicious - I had the 'picnic' which I would definitely have again. And then there was the cake........ what can I say! They tasted even better than they looked. No visit to Deal would be complete without tea and cake at Keep House! Thank you very much Ema!

“Good cakes but the rest was disappointing”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

This was highly recommended to us so we went there with high expectactions.
The cake were deliciously made and perfectly cooked so there is no negative there.
We were disappointed to be served tea in tea bags and we would have expected more variety.
We were not really taken by the decor as it seemed half way between beach house and 50s diner, but the place was clean and the service was very friendly.

if you are looking for delicious hand made cakes go there, but if you are expecting a more traditional and expert tea house you might be disappointed.

Thankyou for your review of our tea room and we are pleased you enjoyed the cakes. We do offer a selection of over 35 teas so at the risk of having too many to choose from we try to make sure we have something for everyone along with our teas grown here in the uk. It's a shame you didnt much like the interior design as we again have tried to make it inviting and welcoming in all aspects.
