We managed to get a late table and had one of the best meals we have had in a long time. This was inventive faultless cooking at very reasonable prices. Front of house is quirky but friendly and she spotted that we were getting a little restive that our main was a bit slow in coming. The starters a crab pannacotta & cod brandade were lovely, and the mains (partridge & pork) beautifully balanced. The pork crackling was something else. Puddings were good, I had poached pear with a sensational stilton ice cream & my husband said that his lemon frangipane desert was one of the best he had ever had. The wine by the glass was very good quality, overall highly recommend & we will be back.
