The outrageous price of the food outweighs everything else this PUB has to offer. My starter was over cooked and average, my main however was very nice but not worthy of the nearly £20 price tag!! The views from the conservatory are lovely but the service was average as was the uninspiring decor and ridiculous arrangement of the waitress dragging the menu board (which was literally bigger than her) to the table which was difficult for everyone to read! Having lived in London, I was surprised to find that London prices had made there way down to Biddenden! Sadly I wont be rushing back or recommending this to friends which is a real shame.

We were returning from holiday and decided to stop off at the Three Chimneys for lunch (I knew this pub reasonably well and had used it several times before). We had our 18 month old ( but very well behaved) granddaughter with us, and this made the visit totally different. As the weather was fine we thought the garden would be nice to sit in. Unfortunately there is no food service in the garden, so this plan was soon scuppered. Walking in the bar, the staff looked at our party - there were five of us - as though we were aliens from Mars. There was no smile, friendly word or welcome in any form. We made our way to the terrace and selected a table. I should add that the pub was not very busy, in fact we were the only party on the terrace when we arrived. There were no children's high chairs so Alice had to eat from her push chair. There was no light bite or children's menu available - we shared our meals with Alice. Having experienced a very negative attitude to our granddaughter, we thought we would test the situation by asking if there was anywhere where we could change a nappy. The waitress looked embarrassed and said that "sometimes" babies could be changed upstairs and she would check. Obviously our faces didn't fit, as she returned to tell us that this was not possible.

If you like your beer served warm and flat this is the place for you - ales are kept in the bar and are dispensed straight from the barrel. Personally I preferred a cooled larger. The food was excellent (we had the sausages and plaice). All in all a beautiful pub with good food - just remember to leave the kids at home!

We attended a wine festival in Biddenden and afterwards had a lovely lunch at a very old pub, called the Three Chimneys ( even though it only had two!! ). The atmosphere was very relaxing and the staff attentive and very friendly. There was a good mixture on the menu, which included light bites and your normal sunday roast and the food was excellent. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Lovely food, choose from small bites of comfort food right up to a posh dinner out. Friendly atmosphere and obviously a local favourite.

I had the duck, my other half had the steak. The duck was quite tough, a little bit overcooked and the dophinoise potatoes were old, they had obviously been reheated. My other half had the steak which came with fries that you could get from tescos. So disappointed was expecting lovely handcut rustic chips. Probably wouldn't come back.
