“Lovely weekend away”
Reviewed March 31, 2014 via mobile

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a weekend at Oak tree cottage. The garden suite is lovely, really spacious with great views across the fields. We stayed as we were dining at west house for my birthday (I recommend the west house too!). Biddenden vineyards are about 30mins walk from the cottage along nice country lanes, we had a great afternoon there taking a tour and tasting wines. Nikki was such a friendly and welcoming host, her breakfasts were delicious, she also went out of her way to accommodate any requests. Thank you again for such a lovely stay x

Spent one night at Oak Tree Cottage so we could attend a 'bit of a do' at Chart Hills Golf Club. Very friendly welcome and a delish slice of cake waiting for us. Tastefully decorated room with everything we needed for our stay. A bit crisp in the morning so didnt venture into the garden but imagine its at its best in the Spring and Summer where you could sit outside to take in the views. Good breakfast and Nicki took the time to chat and made us feel welcome. Will definately book again. Thank you

We stayed at the Oak Tree Cottage for five nights in October. Nikki and Rick the owners are great hosts. Offering to book dinner for you at some brilliant pubs/restaurants, offering local knowledge of things to see and do, making sure everything is just right. We stayed on the night of the storms which resulted in no electricity in the morning. This wasn't an issue for Nikki who still provided breakfast. The breakfasts Nikki makes are excellent as are the cakes that she bakes. The room is excellent, spacious and very comfortable.

In summary you couldn't wish to find a better place to stay. We've already booked to stay again for the next time we are in the area.

We booked Oak Tree Cottage for 5 nights in Oct before we left Australia for our 5 week holiday and this was our last stop before we left for home and we were so happy that we did. Not only was the room exactly as we saw, the best part and there were many was Nikki herself. There are many B & B's that offer quality service but Nikki herself is what sets apart this lovely B & B from the rest. Not only is she charming & friendly but she is genuinely anxious to make sure her guests are comfortable & happy with everything, not to hesitate to knock on her door or phone at any time if we need anything which we did and Nikki helped out with no trouble at all. Everything about this B & B is well worth 5 stars. The beautifully decorated room is very spacious, spotless, with comfortable beds, easy chairs and a modern well equipped bathroom with a lovely walk in shower. There is private guest parking and a lovely garden to share. We were quite spoilt with lovely homemade treats on our return from exploring during the day and Nikki's breakfasts were tasty & plentiful. We enjoyed Tenterden village & came to know it quite well before we left, it's only about 10 mns away with supermarkets, a steam train station, restaurants and lots of boutique shops. We visited Sissinghurst Castle, & Rye which is quite historic. We were quite sad to leave but now we are back home we have fond memories of Nikki and her lovely B & B and we wish her every success for her business which she obviously loves.

Ps: Thanks also to Rick for help when needed, we enjoyed our chats as well.

Very nice and spacy room with separate entrance. We were welcomed with a piece of home made cake, which we ate sitting in the beautiful garden in the warm late September sun with a view into the peaceful countryside. Nikki arranged for us a table at the Three Chimneys and a taxi. (On your way back don’t forget to tell the driver that you mean the Oak Tree Cottage close to Tenterden just before the Tenterden Road becomes the Biddenden Road!) The breakfast was excellent; with local products, e.g. apple juice, home grown tomatoes, and delicious sausages.
Alas, we could only stay for a night
All in all highly recommendable

Lovely spot with a gorgeous garden and pond to sit by - pity it rained hard for most of our weekend. Never mind - lovely room to snuggle down in with sofa and chairs as well as a huge bed. Make sure you find the place in daylight though - you'll never find it in the dark!!
Excellent service for breakfast in the adjoining house. Nothing too much trouble for the hosts.

Room Tip: Only one room available - but it's very big!!

Stayed 2 nights at Oak Tree cottage. Nikki was absolutely charming. The B and B had its own private entrance, so we could come and go as we pleased. It was immaculately clean, had a bathroom en-suite, and a kettle and small fridge. The breakfast was delicious! Would recommend without any reservations whatsoever!
