“beautiful house,shame about the cleaner.”
Reviewed October 23, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

overall a lovely house and location, just needs looking after more.it really needs painting,it looks as if the walls are still the original paint job when it was new,and the double glazing is not good, you can hear quite a lot through it.

Thanks for your feedback. We have redecorated since your stay with us. Please be confident that Hurst View has employed new cleaners from the beginning of last year and all beds now made up with fresh linen, which has resulted in 'Excellent' reviews .....Regards Mike and Sara

“What A Find!”
Reviewed August 27, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Myself my better half and some friends chose Hurst View as a base for our cycling exploits on the I.O.W
The house is beautifully presented , modern fixtures and furniture , very light and airy and extremely spacious.
It is the first holiday let that we have stayed in for a while that feesl like a home rather than simply a place to sleep and cook.
We had a few requests to make regarding our bikes , I must say The owner was very helpful and extremely friendly. Nothing was to much bother.
Well located for the west side of the island , a quiet close setting and spotlessly clean.
We will definitely be back on our next visit to the island.
10/10 THANKS !

“Shame about the cleaner”
Reviewed August 5, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We stayed for a week in Hurst View, never been to the beautiful Isle of Wight before..... we all loved it. Hurst View is a lovely big house, load of space for everyone to relax in after a busy day going to places like The Needles, Blackgang Chine, the wonderful village of Godshill & the model railways at Fort Victoria.
Just wish the cleaner would have cleaned the house properly & emptied the bins in the garden

“Excellent house and setting”
Reviewed May 25, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We have just spent the week at Hurst View, this is a great house with large spacious rooms, we had six adults and one toddler and we were all impressed.
We normally stay in and around the Freshwater area and this holiday home is perfect for access the the whole island.
For the golfers out there a twilight round at the Freshwater course gave some of the best island views combined with an excellent course.
Many thanks for allowing this great week at Hurst View.

“A perfect retreat situated in a perfect location”
Reviewed May 12, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

My husband and I was fortunate to have had the foresight to book this holiday home as it had everything we could of asked for and more! Only a mile away from
Yarmouth which offers fantastic eating houses and sailing yachts in abundance. Our friends came over with their children and there was still plenty of room however we didnt offer to give up our room with the glorious sea views. Loved it and cannot wait to book again.

“Great big house - Needs maintenance”
Reviewed February 9, 2014 for a stay in February 2014

My girlfriend, two friends and myself stayed here for the week. firstly the location is great. 5 minute drive from a great riding school, nice and close to the Yarmouth port and the house is located in a lovely 'new build' estate. First impressions of the house : WOW. Fantastic large hallways double width staircases large front room. Nice kitchen. On closer inspection once you settle into the house you start noticing the damaged walls, the pen on the walls everywhere up the stairs, in the front room. The white bathroom floor mats with black dirt stains. The stainless steel showers and doors covered in lime scale. My girlfriend actually sprayed and bleached it before using the showers. Whoever is cleaning this house is not doing a proper job. I'm not saying that it was dusty...but purely worn from what I'm guessing families with children tiring the house out.

Such a lovely home a truly lovely house but the owners really need to take a visit and re paint the white paint top to bottom. I hope they take care of the small things as above. Because that's what keeps a lovely simple large house like this in good condition. The house is crying for some TLC.
