We were cycling round the island and Weston Manor was the halfway point. It is situated well into the countryside. A lovely old and listed building. Our bikes went into the laundry to be stored securely overnight.
Lovely welcome from Vicky and after being shown our rooms, a pot of tea and cold orange juice was put on a table outside where we could watch the red squirrels come down to eat the seeds left for them.
The room was lovely.
The location was great for us. The Hightown Inn is only 200 yards away and serves good ale and lovely food. You can't help feeling relaxed at Weston Manor, it feels more like staying at a friend's house in lovely surroundings. There seems to be plenty to do locally with walks and attractions.
The breakfast was lovely.
Vicky is passionate about the renovation of the house. She is also a great your guide and died us around the chapel which was built into the house when the original owner found religion.
We were only staying one night but it would be fantastic for a week and I'm planning a longer stay later in the year.
