“What a find!”
Reviewed September 26, 2013 via mobile

Found this little cafe/bar whilst driving along the IOW coast. What a wonderful place! Right on the sea front opposite the sailing club, we ate dinner looking out at the mainland and the sailing boats racing. The menu isn't vast but plenty of choice for everyone and well priced. The chef is amazing. Our food was outstanding and the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and made us feel extremely welcome. Would definitely recommend a visit if you're on the island!

“Not a place for mid-afternoon”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

I seem to remember this place when it had more of a cafe feel. I am going back a year or more. I was disappointed to find, having walked from Ryde, that the only food we could get at around 3.45pm was a pre-wrapped bit of flapjack. Not the restaurant's fault as they have clearly changed. But it would have been nice if the first words of the girl behind the counter weren't "we're not doing food". At least I got a cup of tea.

The menu looks good but I fear it will be a while before we call by again.

“Family foodie friendly place”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

Busy popular place with diners or families alike with nice views , there is a private dining room upstairs for a large family that we used. Selection of real ales , some local IOW brews, daily specials leaning towards seafood naturally. Good quality and well presented kids meals.

“Great Atmospehere”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

We have been several times to this restaurant and although quite basic gives good food and a very friendly atmosphere. The views across the Solent are brilliant (saw Queen Mary 2 set sail) and Seaview itself is wonderful. We found it neccessary to pre-book this year as it always seems to be fully booked with 2 sittings in the evening.
