I love Seaview and I love staying there. The Seaview Hotel has fond memories for me and my family as my brother and sister-in-law had a fab wedding evening there. However, when my husband and I returned for an evening bar meal last week I was incredibly disappointed by the poor food we were served. As we waited for our meals to arrive another couple who were sat on an adjacent table, were complaining about the food they had ordered and were offered alternatives. We chose food from a very basic menu, not at all inspiring, poor pub fare in fact. However, we thought it's The Seaview it will be fine, the food will be alright. I had chosen fish and chips with crushed peas, my husband, cottage pie with market garden vegetables. Well! I could mash my own frozen peas with the back of a fork and serve a few oven chips. The batter on the fish was a 'little' soggy just like the size of the fish. £12 - come on Seaview you can do better than this! We should have complained, (even my husband's meal was poor) but I thought I'm just not coming back to eat ever! Shame on you! Redeeming factor, the lovely young lady who served at the bar!
