“Disappointing food!”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings with lovely views of the sea, and the restaurant was pleasant and warm. The service was excellent, the food which was freshly cooked was just warm and the meal of chicken ordered for a child that was with us was undercooked (pink inside) not pleasant, though must add the roast beef was excellent The coffee which was ordered after the meal, which was taken in the restaurant was cold. Very disappointed was expecting more from this highly rated hotel and restaurant.

Amazing local produce delivered by an imaginative chef. Loved the salad I had foraged from the hotel grounds.

“A plesant evening”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

We went on the of chance a few nights ago and opted for the Bar and Grill as we don't like it to formal.

The resturant does not have to many tables so you don't feel squashed.

Great view as well.

Menu was made up of not only local but freash produce alot of which is picked on the day of cooking it turns out.

There where some staff issues that day it turned out but we only found this out later when the head chief came and chatted to us at the end of the night I guess as we where the last ones in the place.

Not the cheapest place you will go and eat but worth it and we will try and go back in the spring and see how the two young guys who have just taken are doing as the both impressed us with their passion about local food.

Good Luck
