Visited the vineyard on a Sunday morning and were welcomed into the little gift shop. We were given a tour of the distillery along with a lot of wine samples.

The wine itself was very good but more importantly it felt like it was made out of passion. Every naive question we asked was answered as well as possible.

On the whole it was a great hour spent and would like to recommend it if you were in the area.

We popped into RV on our way to the ferry, after a great weekend on the IOW. We were a few minutes early, the gift shop was open. The traffic in and out was disorganised, and was getting busy as they were setting up for the Xmas fayre. We were made to feel totally unwelcome, staff did not acknowledge we were there. We like the IOW but it becoming commonplace, from the locals to be unpleasant. The staff at the hotel we stayed in were eastern european and they were great. The locals could learn some social skills from them.
Wont be going back there in a hurry.

Me and my partner are fairly young and both of us overheard ourselves referred to as "kids" when having a wine taste. I wasn't to fussed on trying the wine as I'm not much of a drinker, but my partner was looking forward to visiting the vineyard and having a taste of 1 or 2 of the wines and was genuinely going to purchase a bottle. However, as I mentioned we were both asked for ID (fair enough, the laws the law and we do look young so that's no complaint) but my partner got 1 tasting and then nobody payed her any attention which even made me a little upset and annoyed.
When exiting we both heard the older gentleman say "the 2 kids have gone, you can go for lunch now" to another member of staff. The general feeling was that they were only interested in the elderly coach trip which turned up rather than the weekend break visitors such as us and a few others.

Before all this happened we also went into the cafe, and I gotta say...it was awful, the scones were all doughy and mushy.

Definitely will not return here again and would advise any "young adults" to stay away in case you have the same experience.

We as a family 4, had lunch. We did have a price is wight voucher. Do really good value. Lovely food and the cakes are wonderful. Really nice views, cafe is a bit quirky but we like that. Staff really nice, and very helpful. Would def go again. Did not go around vineyard so can't comment on that bit, there was a queue to get in, and I think you can taste the wine for free. Maybe next time. !!

The lady was not much of an ambassador for Isle of Wight, slating hotels and Shanklin pubs.. A dowdy musty room, where she gave an interesting talk on wine production, her humour was distasteful.the wine was insipid and lacked body. Lots of fruit wines.
Wouldn't pay £7 a bottle for them. Wine tours generally r free, as they enable you to buy there produce.
Won't be back.
