“A great day out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2013

We were lucky enough to have the tour with Free wine tasting afterwards. Delicious wines. They are the best we have tasted. The plum, blackberry and elderfower are so lovely and easy to drink..... If you like wine you will be in your element!

“Good tasting session”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2013

A little off the beaten track but with good toilet facilities and nice little café - expensive! The leaflets give times of guided tours but we had to ask for the tour which was quite short but made enjoyable by the guide even though none of the equipment was being used at the time. Thankfully the tasting was extensive as the wine was rather acidic for our tastes so saved buying blind.

“Wine tasting”

Average visit, has a cafe, but beware the wasps, you can tour the vineyards and have a talk and tasting session.

“Very intresting and free samples”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2013

I really don't understand why people give free attractions 1 star.
The vineyard is set back from the road. The road is gravel track but taking it slow you'll have no problems. You can see the vines as you drive up. As soon as we arrived we were told what was happening today and told to come for free samples when we were ready. There were no tours that day but it was still interesting and they had a video and you could watch them filling the bottles with wine. They also had a lot of information on the vines and wine making process. Staff were very friendly and informative.

They were happy for you to try as many wines as you liked and it was interesting to sample them and the cider. There was no pressure to buy but they are reasonably priced so we did.
The shop has a wide range of wines and non-alcoholic apple juice. They also have Isle of Wight jam, chocolate and mustard. These are actually made on the Isle Of Wight rather than relabelled with the Isle Of Wight but made in Somerset and Leicester like a lot of attractions do.
They also have a coffee shop which does light lunches and toilets.
The place is wheelchair friendly and a good half an hour or so stop or more if you go in the cafe.
