Lovely lunch on a quiet Monday food so good we have booked the family for Christmas day lunch. ( Will send the review). May have to go back before just to check. One of the most up to date hotel on the island. The food is 5 star restaurant style. Please try it....

Stayed at spa from 24th to 26th October.
Room was amazing, champagne on arrival was a wicked way to kick off the stay. Big beds were so comfy. The actual hotel itself is literally 5 mins drive from fishbourne ferry port. Wouldn't recommend for anyone under 16 I saw many children in the hotel and I have to say they looked bored senseless, nothing really for them to do bless them, unless you are planning to go out all day everyday. Set on a beautiful lake which is so quiet you can't hear any noise. The spa was amazing I had a refresher facial and eyebrow tint done by I think Gemma in the spa and she was amazing. Very reasonable price for the number of products she used. Myself and my boyfriend had a full body massage done in the same room which was completely relaxing. The spa facilities I.e hot tub, pool, steam and sauna rooms are lovely for a late afternoon dip etc.. We had a 3 course meal in the brasserie, the cheese board and the sausages and mash are unbelievable! The only thing was the service was rather slow, there was a table of 20 next to us who seemed to get all the attention (imagine because of the amount of £ they were spending!!!) and it took an hour for our plates to be cleared after eating.
We went to sandown zoo and ryde during our stay for a wander which was nice. Maximum journey time was 15 mins.

The only major let down was on the last day,our ferry was not until 3:30pm and the maids were actually waiting outside our room at 10.45am which was basically to check we were out of our room at 11am (checkout time) my idea of a lay in and chill out on my last day didn't happen and I ended up having to shower in the spa facilities and mooch about for 4 hours, we ended up going to a carvery opposite called the Sloop Inn to kill some time, food here is yummyyyyy. I would have thought we could have been provided with a courtesy room at least, I was told the hotel was fully booked, but it didn't seem that busy considering. I would suggest getting an earlier ferry for anyone considering this. Having to sit at fishbourne in the cold and rain for 2 hours because the hotel booted you out is not ideal.

If you are visiting the IoW and looking for a good quality 4 Star hotel which wont break the bank then may i suggest the Lakeside Park Hotel & Spar.
The Hotel is is situated looking over virtually unspoilt views including lawns with a beautiful lake to the rear.

I stayed in the Solent Suite which I must say was very comfortable and spacious including a Lounge, Dining Room area, seperate Bedroom and Bathroom including double basins, set in marble tops, so no waitingto use the basin if theres two of you... ! Seperate Large shower and extra wide bath.
However at a crafty glance I was able to look into one of the rooms which appered to boast excellent proportions
and Room service is excellent.. Oh and the hotel has its in house laundry ( not Dry cleaning )

Its obvious that a lot of thought has gone into this hotel, in both its design and amenities which includes a Spar with Steam/ sauna rooms and a 1.2 Metre pool, No drowning at the deep end.

The Restaraunt ( The Brasserie ) Serves excellent food withh a choice of a la carte and Fixed menu plus quick bites if preffered.
The wine list is first class..

There is masses of Car Parking within the Hotel grounds,
The Hotel is in easy reach of the Fishbourne Ferry and Ryde, but then the IoW is not that big anyhow!

Lastly.. as its people that can make or break a stay.. No problems on this score... service with a genuine smile from everybody..

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the lake if you can.. If the Budget stretches to it.. try the SOLENT Suite Su...

An ideal base for a short break visiting the IOW. A modern but functional building with comfortable bedrooms in a quiet location. The food and service were good and the staff efficient and friendly. The manager took our eccentric requests in his stride and did everything he could to assist us. The package included a spa treatment and we were phoned in advance by the hotel to make a booking so had a good choice of times. All in all a successful trip. We will return!

My family and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well stocked. The breakfast was a buffet style and was plentiful and hot! The staff were always welcoming, polite and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view if you can get one.

As always the food and service is second to none, staff very friendly helpful and very knowledgeable about the ingredients too. At the moment I have a dietary issue, the chefs always deliver. Will defiantly be back very very soon.

Room Tip: Booking a table during holiday is always good, also they do an early menu, value for money

So that must be a good sign. I would neve go back to a poor establishment. East of the IOW devoid of good places to stay so their competition is a tad light but It is a decent place. Modern clean rooms, decent restaurant and bar with very good food but the room itself is a tad cold. The corridor joining the hotel to the restaurant is always ice cold, this is dumb.
