“Superb Hotel, Perfect location.”
Reviewed June 10, 2012 via mobile

What an amazing place. Stayed 1week over June half term. Newly renovated with new bathrooms. Very clean. Such lovely staff and so accommodating. Ideal location on sea front opposite the lovely beach. Short walk to bus station and ferry to Portsmouth. Nothing was too much trouble for staff. Amazing breakfasts with every possible choice of foods. 9 choices of chopped fresh fruit every morning. Nicely cooked to order hot food as much as you can eat. Drinks selection in bedroom was every possible hot drink i could think of and wide selection of biscuits every day. Will definitely go again and recommend to anyone.

I have stayed in Ryde a number of times but this place is by far the nicest bed and breakfast in Ryde.
Sue and her team really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and you feel at ease as soon as you step through the door.
We were lucky enough to have been booked in to the Honeymoon suite (a wedding gift) which is huge, with a massive bathroom including jacuzzi bath and gorgeous views of the Solent.
Breakfast is plentiful and as good as a full English gets.
Everything is clean and well presented and the finishing touches such as a massive array of hot drinks and biscuits on the welcome tray and quality bath products make this "B&B" more comparable to a 4 star hotel.
Thank you for a lovely stay, we will return.

Room Tip: The honeymoon suite costs extra but is so worth the money!

We have now stayed with Sue and Gary several times. I am a picky old duffer, so to please me it has to be fantastic!! and that is what it is! Nothing is too much trouble, rooms, beds, facilities are better than any 5 star I have ever frequented for sure! The breakfast selection has everything you could possibly want, particularly the vast selection of fresh fruits! Takes a lot to get me eloquent, Sorrento does it hands down! Many, many thanks and see you soon!

Mike & Helen.

Room Tip: Sea facing is great if you are there in daytime, but all of the rooms are excellent.

Having spent nights under canvas and hiking the coast path our last night on the island was certainly spent at probably the best B&B I've ever stayed in. Superb service, amazing quality and attention to detail that I've not seen in some supposed 4 star hotels. Great, peaceful location 5mins from the centre of Ryde, very comfortable beds and a fantastic breakfast, friendly and polite staff who couldn't have done more. Congratulations and we'll definitely stay again next time we're over. (The 3 Hikers from No.7)

Me and my partner decided to stay here after reading the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor and I can confirm that it is as great as everyone else says it is :) The rooms are spotless and spacious, there was a wide selection of complimentary tea, coffees, biscuits etc in are room, the bed was really comfy and the room was warm. Breakfast was amazing! There is lots to choose from (fruits, nuts, cereals) and the cooked breakfasts are huge and delicious :) The Sorrento Lodge is 5 minutes walking distance from the hovercraft port/main bus station, which is really handy if you are off to different bits of the island every day (like we were), and it's based right on the seafront. Has it all really, so massive thumbs for this place :)

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 5 which has a sea view :)

I have been meaning to write this for a while. I am a regular visitor to the IOW and this is the place to stay. I have tried others and none come close. The rooms are bright and clean. The service is bright and friendly. Location is perfect as you only have to cross the road for the beach and yet you are only a 5-10 min walk to the main shopping area, pubs and restaurants. It is the additional touches such as the tray full off goodies in your room, a large choice of biscuits and teas, hot chocolate, coffees, complimentary chocs on your pillow that make you feel like the owners want to to have a good time. The breakfasts are fab, there is the full cooked varieties, plus a vast choice of cereals, fruits, dried fruits, yogurts, juices, toast etc, it will keep you going for the day.

Lovely location, beautiful views, spotless clean rooms, all toiletries and towels supplied, tray full of teas, coffees and biscuits . Sue is so friendly and helpful, the breakfast is delicious and enough to keep you going all day. Can not fault the Sorrento at all, definitely will return and would have no hesitation in recommending to others. The best B&B I've ever been to!
