We attended a wedding there recently and it was a farce! The only thing they supply was a venue, a tiny but expensive bar and that was about it! The bride and groom had to pay for everything, including the loos! We had to carry the chairs we sat on for the ceremony back to the marquee for the meal! The service for the meal was a shambles! It may be a beautiful venue, but that is all it has going for it!

We as a party of four attended the 5 course pop up dining experience last night, we all agreed that it was a great evening. Having not been to the Apple Farm before we were quite unsure as to what to expect.....we were not disappointed!
The venue was lovely, quite intimate, with only 5 tables of four but to be honest that felt just right, not too cramped but with enough space that you didn't feel you were in competition with the next tables conversation.
There was a good selection of wine and beers on offer as well as special cocktails, which we chose, all based around apple juice with various alcoholic tipples added, very nice!!
The meal itself was well presented and every course was plentiful and delicious, each course complimenting the next perfectly. At the end of the meal the chef was introduced by the owner, he was greeted with a round of applause from all the diners. All in all it was a lovely evening, topped off by the owner escorting us all to our cars under umbrellas as it had started to rain by the time we left, a small but great gesture to finish off the evening.

We have been here many times over the past few years and have had very good times and some not so, we have found out that the not so good times were due to some staffing issues! and now it is just the owners and a saturday girl, who helps out. The place is back to its hay day with friendly attentive service and excellent local food and drink, we are even planning to attend one of the cider tasting events ( sounds fun) which are held to taste numerous home produced and local ciders :) . We arrived early afternoon and there were several other family groups already enjoying the food and the children from these were running around the gardens. Our food was superb and thankfully of the standard that we used to enjoy previously and it looks like just having the owners doing it all, is paying dividends. Our friends really enjoyed the relaxed , mellow atmosphere, the food and the on site produced cider, We will be back.

We had our wedding ceremony at the apple orchard this summer and we couldn't have made a better choice. The place is beautiful, the service was excellent and we got everything we wanted and more. All in all it was a wonderful experience and we'd recommend it to anyone.

Disappointing, really unprofessional service, we were bringing a large group of people so phoned in advance to book a table, but when we arrived they denied all knowledge of us calling and said they were closed. Had my 90+ year old grandma with me and we were asked to leave. Not the way to run a business, I would avoid at all costs. We went to Dimbola lodge who went out of their way to accommodate us even though they were really busy and we had a lovely afternoon there.

I agree with the previous correspondent. It seems that the owners have other priorities over giving customer service in their cafe and shop. Totally hit or miss as to whether the owners can be bothered to produce anything on the day.

Not a way to run a business. AVOID or be disappointed.

We returned to this place after a few years and found it very run down , we went the day after the bestival and as the owners had been at the bestial catering there were only cakes on offer , other people were leaving without having anything , it would have been best if they had either not bothered opening or a notice put outside stating that there would be no lunches that day , it seems that they are doing outside catering and not making more of the cafe,
