Sadly, we did not have the time to visit inside the church, but we were drawn by the unusual and will certainly return on our next visit to Dimbola which is nearby. Interestingly, the land on which the church stands was given by the son of Alfred Lord Tennyson and the building was only completed in 1908 although, on initial appearance, it looks somewhat older.

Parking is on the road and there is a bus stop close by. There are steps for access. It certainly has "curb appeal" and is very pretty with its unusual thatched roof. It was opened in 1908 although the style inside mimics churches of an earlier time. The stone used was from a local disused farmhouse and the colourful tiles in the porch came from the same farmhouse. Inside it is light and there are attractive, colourful kneelers on each seat. A quiet and restful place with rural views.

A nice place to visit when driving from Freshwater Bay to The Needles. This church is much more recent than most churches on the island, it's also much brighter inside and has lovely views over pastures green. There is plenty enough parking space on the main road. You can also have a nice cuppa at the Piano Cafe just opposite.

Was driving passed this church when noticed the thatched roof and stopped to have a look. Well worth going inside. Quite a small church but beautiful and very different with its high wooden roof and round roof above alter. Felt very warm atmosphere and lovely to find a church open so one can pop in and view.

We just stopped on our way to Freshwater Bay to take some photographs. I don’t remember seeing a thatched church before, we didn’t go inside though.
