We had another great stay at the Orchards. Our rooms were faultless with good views of the orchard behind. Lovely breakfasts with plenty of choice and using local products and home made jam, and Paula herself couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly.

The B&B is in a great location, with both the main street in Freshwater and the lovely sandy beach at Colwell Bay both within a very short walking distance, and with some great walks on your doorstep. If you fancy a 'night cap' before retiring the day, the Prince of Wales a few doors up is the most welcoming and friendly 'locals' pub that we've come across! The private parking in the back is a godsend too, compared to many places. We look forward to returning again in the not too distant future!

My partner and I stayed for the bank holiday weekend and couldn't have chosen a better b&b to stay for our visit.
Paula greeted us when we arrived and showed us round , our room was lovely everything we needed! Off road parking was fantastic as we had our bikes etc in the car and felt like home from home, breakfast was excellent and set us up for our round island cycle. I would recommend to stay here and will be letting friends and family know if they were to visit the isle of wight.
Thankyou Paula once again

Spent 2 nights there in order to walk and birdwatch locally. Stayed in the light, airy single en-suite room upstairs. Whole place is spotless with many extra touches which show why it's achieved its high tourist board rating. Very tranquil with room overlooking the eponymous orchards.

Slightly limiting to have to order one's breakfast the night before and to be confined to a specific slot but, that said, the breakfast was outstanding with ample amounts of locally-sourced produce. Paula, the proprietor, very helpful and obliging. Made me feel very at home and introduced me to the other guests at breakfast which was a nice touch for a solo traveller.

Were I to return to West Wight, I would certainly stay at The Orchards.

Accomodation was ok (request the single room upstairs with on suite shower) the downstairs room is a box room and uses a disabled shower where the water went everywhere. The breakfast was not bad ...but the big disappointment was after running a half marathon in the rain, we were informed when we came back to collect our luggage, that we had checked out in the morning and even though other friends were staying an extra night, we were not even allowed back in the B&B to quickly use their shower in their room or get changed.

We will not be staying there next year and will advise other members of the running club not to do so either.

The owner, Paula, is friendly and the place is spotless. Our room was large, bright, very clean and had absolutely everything that we needed for our stay. The location is also great. Breakfast (which is included) is also something to mention as the food was mostly fresh produce from the island and cooked to perfection.
I would definitely recommend the Orchards B&B to anyone looking for a place to stay while visiting the Isle of Wight.
