What a popular place this is. Be sure to book.
Had a lovely meal here following their No.1 restaurant status on TA.
Went in at around 1915 and only 3 downstairs tables left. Wouldn't want to eat upstairs though.
A party of 16 had arrived around 15 minutes before us but the ladies in charge managed to squeeze our order in ahead of theirs to avoid what could have been a reasonable delay. Good start. The bread and olives were gorgeous and the main meals were of high quality. The kitchen must have been under a bit of pressure due to the numbers dining but all was well.
Prices are a little on the high side as were the drinks which is always a pet hate of mine. A large glass of pinot should not cost £5.50.
The staff were very pleasant.
