On arriving from our journey, we were met with a warm welcome & with tea and coffee. Paula's house is perfectly lovely, clean and the rooms are superb.
When we came down in morning we had a REALLY nice breakfast, just what the doctor ordered. I cant fault this B&B. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitelty be staying there again. Would reccommend to anyone. Top marks!!!

As reputation suggests, this place is as good as it gets. We had just a one night stay to attend a wedding nearby. All rooms were spotlessly clean with a modern decor and were ready for our arrival. We were given a friendly and warm welcome with some much needed tea and coffee after our journey! After a long day and plenty of drinks at the wedding, the breakfast the following morning really hit the spot. There were plenty of nice choices on the menu.
I cannot say when my next overnight stay to the IOW will be, but when it happens I'm sure we'll be returning. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We stayed at One Fifty for a night during October in the Tennyson room. Paula is very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. We found the whole B&B nicely decorated with great attention to the details. Room is large and super clean -- In fact, I have been to many B&B and this is the cleanest one. Multiple time during my stay did I want to ask Paula for some cleaning tips (the mirror and windows are as clear as camera lens). Loved the fresh fruit and chocolate in our room when we first arrived.

The breakfast next day is also surprisingly impressive. I had a full english breakfast, the eggs, tomato and mushroom are so perfectly prepared that could easily rival those normally found in good London restaurants. Except the sausage which is slightly overcooked.

We stayed at One Fifty for two nights during the first week of October, in the Tennyson room, which was one of two rooms located at the top of the town house. The room was a good size, well appointed, clean and tidy and benefited from lovely furnishings. The bathroom was pleasant, with a small ‘plunge’ bath (square & deep, rather than traditional) and shower over. Unfortunately though the sink offered nowhere to put anything (it was a bowl on stand, rather than a basin) and the mirror hung very low (due to the angle of the roof) so had to squat down to see in it, otherwise offered everything you’d expect. The B&B is a short walk (10 mins) from the centre of Cowes, which offers a range of shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants.

Host Paula was incredibly welcoming, offering beverages on arrival, and provided quick & efficient responses to email during booking. She also provides a wonderful selection of breakfast options. On both days we opted for the full English, which was served with toast. So good was this meal, that it set us up for the rest of the day and our sightseeing, so we didn’t eat again until dinner!

Our only two areas of comment, and these are not negatives, simply perhaps a reflection of our preferences, are that One Fifty offers only two visitor parking spaces and the size of the towels available. Regarding parking, the spaces are offered on a first come, first serve basis. Apparently there is other parking available on surrounding side streets and also a public car park a couple of minutes down the road. However we would not have felt comfortable parking our vehicle anywhere other than on private property or at least a secure alternative. The parking situation is referenced on the B&B website, but I guess we didn’t fully consider the implications, especially if all four rooms had been occupied during our stay. With reference to the towels, the room provided two hand towels and two of the ‘next size up’ which I would call ‘head & hair’ towels, but nothing larger. A bathrobe is offered, I suppose, as an alternative but we would have liked to see a variety of towels available. As said, these are personal preferences and voiced only to provide an insight to thoughts after our stay.

Overall, we were very pleased to have chosen One Fifty and we appreciated the accommodation benefits and Paula’s hosting & cooking skills very much. We would definitely recommend and would visit again.

Room Tip: The Tennyson room is at the front (and top!) of the house and overlooks the main road.

We arrived after a long and especially wet walk from Ryde (doing the round the Island walk) and Paula organised to collect us from the Floating Bridge ferry as we simply couldn't go on we were so wet and cold. She welcomed us into her lovely home, even offering to dry out our boots and wet clothing. We stayed in a room which didn't have an ensuite - the bathroom was about 1m around the corner - and so had provided terry cloth robes for us. It was a delight to stay with her and I would recommend this b&b to anyone. It far exceeds what you might expect of a b&b and there wasn't one thing about it that didn't suit us. Breakfast was served when we arranged for it, was plentiful and delicious, even including smoked salmon...what more can I say? Paula was also very helpful in assisting us to find a nice place to eat in Cowes on a very wet Sunday night. Superb, splendid, fabulous are the adjectives that spring to mind in describing onefifty. Stay there!

Room Tip: There are two rooms with baths - a huge luxury for a b&b - you might want to ask for one of thes...

We stayed at One Fifty, Cowes, from the 20th to the 23rd of August this year; Paula was an excellent host, she welcomed us warmly when we arrived, with an excellent cup of coffee and biscuits. We had a lovely room at the top with beautiful views over the sea, very comfortable twin beds, simply but very tastefully decorated, fluffy white towels in the bathroom, bottles of water in the tray every day, with fresh fruit and small bars of chocolate. Breakfast was in the sunny conservatory overlooking the garden, full English breakfast with organic local produce, cereals, fresh fruit, freshly brewed coffee (or tea). Nothing was too much trouble for Paula, she provided us with a timetable for the local buses, and various places of interest to visit on the island. She also recommended a beautiful fish restaurant "Murrays" for us to dine in in the evening. The Victorian house is very tastefully decorated and provides guests with a very warm feeling throughout. Paula responds to emails very promptly too, which I think is an important factor when you are in the hospitality business. My husband and I liked so much One Fifty, we are planning to return again for a short break next year!

Room Tip: Top floor room has wondeful views overlooking the harbour

I had an excellent stay at the One Fifty in Cowes. The room was very nice, and the family extremely friendly. They really take care of the details in service and you still feel home. I will definitely go back there!
