One night business stay.

The sat nav is hopeless. The warren of one way streets makes it a difficult place to find and then park. Best to set the satnav to the Euro car park up the hill - free overnight parking. A short downhill walk with suitcases only takes a few minutes.

I was in room 21 on the top floor overlooking the harbour. It was lovely - clean, comfy bed, big enough though the low ceilings in this attic room needed to be avoided. Food in the pub was ok and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good though service a bit slow. I would go again.

Room Tip: Room 21 is very nice

OK for one night, Friendly and helpful staff. Our room on the top floor meant we needed help with our luggage as there is no lift, Clean and comfortable room, The shower curtain was tired and grubby however, It was good that they had an iron , ironing board and hair drier in the bedroom.
Carpeting in the public areas looked as if it could do with a shampoo and clean, and the stair banisters were sticky.
Great location next to the Ferry terminal, and a lovely outside decking area.
Breakfast was no more than average, and they had run out of fresh orange slices.
It suited us perfectly for our single night, and it was good value .

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Friendly service at very good rates. Good location in heart of Cowes. Only gripes were breakfast was small and beans stodgy, room service was unavailable due to staff shortage, and there is no parking at hotel (which was not clear when I booked it).

We loved spacious superior Room No. 1. It is in a superb central location so can be noisy but I used ear plugs so no problem at all. Breakfast excellent and all the staff where fantastic. I absolutely loved this place and it far exceeded my expectations. Thank you, We will be back.

We stayed at The Fountain with our 2 greyhounds for a couple of nights and will definitely be staying there again next time we visit the Isle of Wight. The newly refurbished rooms are lush! After our first night, we were offered a much larger room which had become available, to give us more space with our dogs. This was such a lovely gesture by the hotel and totally unexpected. The majority of the staff gave excellent service and we ate supper at the Fountain Inn on both nights from their very reasonably priced menu. The breakfasts are delicious and we can recommend the Eggs Benedict, Full English and Smoked Salmon with Scrambled Eggs. Our stay represented really excellent value for money and we were happy to give quite a substantial tip to the staff to reflect this. The only downside, which is to be expected staying in a centrally located hotel adjacent to the ferries, buses and taxes, is that we found the traffic noise a little disturbing at night. But we do live in a very quiet rural location and so are unused to town living. It's not a criticism just an observation. Overall we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for its comfort, fantastic location overlooking the water and marina and being right in the heart of Cowes with all it has to offer in the way of shops, restaurants, pubs etc. A really great mini-break and we'll be back.

Room Tip: We stayed in 2 rooms during our stay, both having lovely soft furnishings and furniture. Room 10 on the 2nd floor was a beautifully decorated and comfortable en-suite double. Then we spent a night in Room 1 on the 1st floor which was fantastic. It was huge with a massive super king size bed and separate living area with ottoman and two armchairs and the en-suite was also huge with separate shower and bath. I would definitely book this room again for the sheer space not to mention the lovely soft furnishings and furniture. The only thing I would mention is that being a very centrally located hotel, the traffic noise is quite noticeable at night time. However if you live in a town anyway it's probably normal, it's just that we live in a very quiet rural location so are unused to any noise at night. But the hotel is located in the heart of Cowes next to the marina, the ferries and buses so some noise would be expected.
