Brilliant pub, great music, great atmosphere, Friendly staff and amazing food!!
Recently decorated. Nice warm feel with a lovely log burner. Could sit and chill for hours!
Recommended by The Grapes, Southampton (The Anchor's sister pub) I was surprised to see another very successful pub within the group! Defiantly recommended. I Cant wait to visit during the summer season (I heard it get very busy)

This is our 3rd or 4th visit at different times of the day and we feel its a good pub, friendly, nice atmospere, good food, good offers and well worth a visit. The staff have always been pleasing and give a good service. Well done chef because if the food was not good we would not have returned. . . . thank you. I would recommend this pub to anyone, so do not change because when I say that it often changes landlords or staff and becomes awful, you are just fine as you are! ! Can not say anymore just go and find out for yourself.

Room Tip: Not able to sorry.

First night on the IoW the week before half term. Having been allocated in our cabin on a site that was clean but left much to be desired we decide to walk back to Cowes in search of food.

Google suggested The Anchor and at the mention of reasonable real ale, I was sold. The staff were friendly and so were the punters. The beer is good. The menu seems a bit expensive but the portion sizes were huge and more than compensated for that.

Don't come here looking for gourmet, but do come looking for sound and solid pub grub and good beer.

Will I come back? Yes!

Excellent service, very welcoming, happy "ratings", good scrubbed decks, so a good start. 'Scran' very good, a very good value mixed grill, and a lovely port, duck and mushroom suet pudding. Interesting artifacts, a rustic and very nautical feel, although Iam not sure if I sat at the Captains table! For a town pub it had a nice feel about it. We have been before and the scran was good with good value, a specials board and a menu, so quite a wide variety to select from. I would recommend this pub to all officers and men!

Room Tip: Not sure it has rooms sorry

I spent a summer night in The Anchor Inn room no. 1, which was an awful experience.

The temperature inside the room was at least 30 degrees celcius and right next to our window the air vent to the pub was making an awful lot of noise, making it impossible to sleep. So the choice were between a dronish noise or extreme heat.

I love the atmosphere in this place and it's a regular haunt of mine. The staff are very friendly and the landlord goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. I would like to see the menu improved but other than that 10/10
