According to the board outside children, dogs, goats and chickens are welcome, but there were no goats when we were there, and the only chicken was on the menu. (Do you suppose that the menu expands when a goat walks in? Need one worry about one's dog or children?) Notwithstanding this threat the place was peaceful enough for a busy pub in the town centre in Cowes week, and the food was well-prepared and promptly and efficiently served. I had one of the best seafood chowders I've had outside New England.
