“One of the best places to drink and eat in Cowes”

We went for lunch and menu had changed slightly since last time - there are now two restaurants so two menus and two kitchens! So if you don't order from same menu as your friends then your food may arrive at different times....bit quirky but it worked fine for us. Is rustic but charming. Can sit and drink on the bar side.

Bar staff were great and drinks spot on - gorgeous vodka lime and soda! Pizza was delicious, steak cooked perfectly. Garlic prawns were a let down as very plain and bland looking - shame they don't do oysters any more...

Definitely would recommend for lunch or dinner! Or a few drinks :-)

“A bit pricey but definitely worth it”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

I went here with a friend and was served some of the tastiest food I've ever had, probably the best place to have pizza on the island, you're surrounded by fresh ingredients doubling as decor here and have a clear view of the woodburning oven which is a nice touch.

Even the small things like olives and anchovies taste really fresh and full of flavour.

I've been intimidated out of going here in the past by a pretentious patronage but please don't let something like that put you off trying the pizza here.

The tiramisu is amazing too!

“Seemed good”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

Only went here for breakfast before catching the ferry home from East Cowes. We sat outside, luckily in sunshine and ordered food and drinks, the coffee was very good and the food was delicious, not normally a big coffee drinker but as it was so nice we all had more. It looked a good place to go for evening drinks. The staff were all friendly and seemed pleased to serve us. The toilets were very clean and well stocked.

“Great atmosphere and good food”

We visited over the Round the Island race weekend. Coast was a real favourite both with the adults in our group and the 'cool' teenagers. Really great menu and lovely buzzy feel. Smiling efficient staff. Perfect.

“Style over substance.”
Reviewed June 6, 2013 via mobile

Looks great and seems to be the place to be seen. Almost impossible to book as they never seem to respond to emails, and was difficult to get through on the phone. Eventually managed to drop in for a Sunday breakfast though. Nothing massively wrong but no positives of note. Portions were on the small side for the money and staff seem a little overstretched. May try again but wouldn't go out of my way.
