“Pefect Holiday and Cottage”
Reviewed August 19, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Beautiful Cottage, and grounds. Secluded location which is what we wanted. Sea views and beach a stones throw away.

The walk into the Ventnor was lovely. We would highly recommend the the Spy glass, Ventnor Botanical gardens, Betsy and Spinkys, and the Bay. Gossips and Off the rails in Yarmouth also lovely and recommended.

We will definitely return the Hide away or one of the other beautiful cottages run by Ocean Blue which we have stayed in before.

Thank you! So Perfect, we didn't want to leave.

“Location, location, location....”
Reviewed June 7, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

The Hideaway is definitely that - it's down a secluded private road. Its location to the beach is fantastic, probably about 3 minutes walk. Our cocker spaniels thought they were in heaven, despite the disappointing June weather.

The cottage is compact but fine for two people with good outdoor space. There are views of the sea from the decking at the top of the garden. However, this does not get the sun in the evening and the weather didn't help matters.

The cottage is reasonably well equipped but would benefit from a microwave. However, the biggest issue for us was the lack of Wifi within the cottage as advertised. It was necessary to stand outside in the courtyard to get any sort of signal.

The Bonchurch Inn had an excellent menu, good food and fantastic service. It's close to the cottage if you don't mind a steep uphill climb.

“A totally restorative holiday with my sister at The Hideaway.”
Reviewed May 10, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Our third visit to The Hideaway and perfect for meeting up with my sister in such a superb location. The cottage is cosy, well equipped with a gorgeous sundeck for early morning tea in the sunshine watching the sea in all its contrasting calm and wildness. As we had Grace the dog with us, being so near a 'dog friendly' beach was ideal. Walks along the coastal path to Ventnor or along the Undercliff to Shanklin meant we hardly needed the car. The only time we did was to run on the downs just above Bonchurch, through the bluebells with stunning views to left and right. It was hard to leave.

“Idyllic”
Reviewed April 17, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

From the moment we drove up the bumpy road and we saw the cottage I knew we would have a great holiday. Although tucked away the location was perfect for us, Ventnor and Chanklin were just a short drive away. The beach was also a 2 minute walk away which was ideal for us as we took our dog. The Hideaway was spotless and we arrived early and was welcomed and told we could go in early and we didn't feel like we were an inconvenience. We loved everything about the Hideaway and would highly recommend it, we would definitely return, I wish we had stayed longer.

“What a peaceful and lovely place to stay”
Reviewed May 2, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

It is exactly as described, it is truly a hideaway, tucked away down a secluded lane in a quiet bay, only 2 minutes walk to monks bay. The hideaway is light and airy and well equipped. We spent a wonderful week their to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.
Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. Would definitely return.

“It does exactly what it says on the tin....an idyllic Hideaway!!!”
Reviewed April 22, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Had a wonderful Easter weekend at The Hideaway in Bonchurch with my wife for our first wedding anniversary. If you're thinking of booking, just do it...the accommodation is perfect, really cosy, modern inside with great sea views and everything has been thought of. The location is simply stunning and Bonchurch is lovely. Can't recommend it highly enough.
