Description: The Stockton Cross Inn is a 16th century black and white pub in Kimbolton. Here at The Stockton Cross we are passionate about great tasting seasonal 'pub grub' and we aim to source our produce as locally as we can. We are open 11am-11pm every day and serve food from 12 - 8 Tuesday to Saturday and Sunday roasts 12 - 4. We serve local cask ales & local cider and our wines are sourced from Tanners. We also use these Herefordshire made ales and ciders in many of our dishes. We have a large beer garden at the face of the pub and an ample carpark at the rear.

We were travelling to Hereford for the weekend and wanted to stop off for some lunch somewhere. We noticed a sign on the road for Stockton Cross Inn real ales and good food. So we dropped in. So glad we did it was such a quaint old pub with real fires and good ale. Very friendly welcome and a good choice on the menu. Not too much so you get confused what to eat. I had a sandwich which would have fed the both of us and my husband had game pie which was enormous. And being from Lancashire I was so pleased to see a "proper pie" not these fancy casseroles with lids on that these fancy chefs are calling pies. But we can honestly say it was good value for money. Carry on with the good work. Well worth a visit.

What fab pub. Had a great steak, one of the best I,ve had for a long time and my wife's belly pork with black pudding mash was very tasty - well done to the chef! Very friendly landlord. A proper old fashioned pub with a proper old fashioned welcome and real log fire.

Not been to this pub for a while but what a change when we walked in the door, same excellent service and really friendly atmosphere but before Christmas the whole place had been redecorated and there were new windows too. Chatted to the landlord and he said the decoration was all done by the regulars of the pub over a single weekend! Place still has a country pub feel but a brighter and more contemporary decor.

The food and ale was excellent as ever, we all ate of the specials menu and none of us were disappointed.

A great night out and we will be returning again very soon.

Great little pub but far too expensive. Ales great but whey too overpriced. Gourmet menu and prices to match .....but the pinging of the bank of microwaves gives the game away. Would be far better with cheap bar snacks and lower priced ales !
Also not open Monday and until 7pm other nigths is a real inconvenience.
Would be a great village assest with a little more thought and business strategy.

We stopped off on Sunday and bought a couple of baguettes to have with our drinks in the beer garden. We were charged an incredible £6.25 each for these. Now you are probably thinking they were filled with something fancy but no. One was cheese and tomato (and very mild catering cheddar at best) whilst the other was beef probably from the Sunday lunch menu. Both were on rapidly defrosted and baked mass catering baguettes. Even in central London I've never paid such prices.
The service was very friendly but it should be as we must have made their day paying these stupendous prices (which we only discovered after we'd eaten them).
