Just had a weekend in the Talbot Hotel.was a bit dubious when we arrived, but we have had a good weekend. The reception area is a bit dark and could do with more lighting, the bedroom was clean and the bathroom was huge with an excellent shower. Breakfast was superb, all freshly cooked to order and plenty of it.Dinner was absoulutely marvellous,a good choice of menu, really well cooked and once again plenty of it. Would stay again.

The staff here are absolutely lovely. Incredibly friendly and couldn't do enough for you. However the hotel they work in is practically falling down. Our room had no shower, not even mixer taps for the bath, but had one of those old fashioned rubber hose attachments you stick onto the taps. That was broken and, worse, moldy. It is also very noisy, both from the street and internally, our room was next to a function room I believe and it was very hard to sleep. The noise from the street could easily be ameliorated with some double glazing. I guess they don't have much competition in Leominster but, nonetheless, it's not a 3 star hotel in its current state.

This hotel is seriously old fashioned even down to a box style T.V. The room had net curtains and the decor was drab. There is no choice of hotels in town so I guess the owners are resting on their laurels. The rooms to the street are very noisy as there is no double glazing. The room was adecent size but not value for money. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order. Was not asked how I liked the eggs. The staff were friendly and room was clean.

Room Tip: Rooms to the main street are noisy

We stayed here in May, the staff were very pleasant to deal with and the breakfast was excellent, but oh dear we thought that being a Best Western it would be of a better standard. It certainly needs a makeover. The decor was depressing and not in keeping with a 15th century Inn,for the price we paid we were very disappointed. The bar wasn't open until 6 pm which seemed rather odd.Such a shame as its in a good location and a beautiful building.

Stayed here in March for the weekend. Great location, rooms spacious and very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Needs some money spending on it but have to say it was one of best nights sleep I've had in a hotel and was lovely and quiet. Wouldn't want to pay their full price, paid £69 and that was enough. Breakfast was good but be careful they say continental however there was nothing like that in sight instead you choose from a choice on the menu and it's extra!! Would return at the right rate.

This was my second stay at the Talbot, I had good service and a clean and tidy room on both occasions. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
The hotel does look a little tied, but considering it stared life as a Coaching Inn in the 15th Century and retains many of it's original feature, it is expected to look the part, not a gleaming modern hotel, but one of character and charm.
My stay was only one night, there on business, but would stay there again. I can recommend this hotel to anyone who like character building and interested in England's history. Well worth a visit, even just for a meal and a drink.

Arrived on 15th of march 2012 and wanted to leave as soon as i pulled up on the car park the outside of the building looked like it was falling down and when i got inside it didnt get much better. The staff in the hotel were great to be fair but the whole place needs a refurbishment or knocking down and starting again. The food was below average and over priced, the bathroom (if you could call it a bathroom) was dirty with a bad smell and no water pressure from the taps or shower. I have stayed in lots of best western hotels and have had great stays in them but this hotel does not deserve to have the name of best western infact it can only be described as worst western. DONT STAY HERE !!!!
