We visited Border Bean whilst staying with friends locally and were very impressed with what we found. The produce is homemade or locally sourced and extremely tasty. We particularly enjoyed the heart warming soup and we were spoilt for choice when it came to choosing from the delicious range of cakes. The interior has been refurbished in keeping with the character of the building and is spotlessly clean. We all enjoyed admiring the artwork on the walls and were able to purchase some hand crafted cards, chutneys and jams (again all made locally). Most importantly the staff are all very cheerful and welcoming - nothing is too much trouble and this makes for a warm and friendly atmosphere......We will be back!!

This bright and friendly new coffee shop in Kington has excellent service, yummy cakes and scones (cheese scones especially delicious), and great coffee. A perfect place to stop and watch the world go by for awhile - sitting in front of the cafe's big windows overlooking the bustling Kington High Street. A welcome addition to Kington - and sure to be a success!

The Border Bean is a wonderful place to go if you want to eat great home cooked food, great coffee and relax in a warm friendly atmosphere. The cakes are fantastic and all home made as is the soups, the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. If you want to sit in peace or enjoy a spot of lunch with friends or family or even buy a piece of art then The Border Bean is the place to go. A really good concept, using local artists to display and sell their work, not only is it helping to promote their work it is also decorating the walls and changes from time to time.
