We stayed for one night at this lovely B&B at the end of our walk on the Mortimer Trail.Located off the main street and by the river, the setting is rural and peaceful. When we arrived, we were greeted by Jill who immediately offered us tea and homemade scones, which were delicious and most welcome after our day's walking. Jill was a charming hostess and couldn't have been more helpful, for instance, looking out books for us and advising us on where to eat locally. Our room and ensuite bathroom were very clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed in them. The towels were gorgeously soft.
Breakfast, cooked by John, was delicious and we had lots of choice of lovely fresh and seasonal fruit as well as our cooked dish each cooked to our own requirements. We would be more than happy to return for another stay.

My wife and I stayed for two nights in July. We were in Kington for some walking and to see what inspired Mike Oldfield to write the album Hergest Ridge back in 1974.
Arrowbank Lodge turned out to be the perfect B&B. We stayed in the Master bedroom which had one of the best beds I ever slept in! The house and the garden are beautiful. The room is clean and spacious och the breakfast is superb! John and Jill are perfect hosts, warm and welcoming and we really appreciated the tea served in the afternoons. A fantastic stay!

As part of our biking weekend in Herefordshire we stayed at the Arrowbank Lodge B&B in Kington. It was an absolute delight. The B&B is in a peaceful setting off the main road and alongside the Arrow. The twin bedroom was very comfortable for two of us. We had a lovely, warm greeting from the owners; and the complimentary team & scones was totally unexpected and very welcome after our ride on Offa's Dyke and Hergest Ridge. We were very well looked after and the breakfast the next morning was very enjoyable. I'm already looking for an excuse to visit again!

As an aside I can also recommend the Wine Vaults, the Swan and the Royal Oak in Kington.

We arrived at the Arrowbank Lodge on the 6th day of our Offa's Dyke walk, weary and although weather was dry and sunny our boots were very wet from the earlier rain and trudging through the long grass. We were welcomed by John with a lovely pot of tea, scones and jam all served at the table outside over looking the river; such a delightful setting. John presented us with a folder with a selection of the pubs and restaurants to eat at that night. We decided to choose The Oxford Pub and had a delicious meal there.
Our room was tastefully decorated, clean and extremely comfy.
Breakfast was something else and it was definitely the feast for a King. As we don't eat a full cooked breakfast we were presented with all types of cereal, freshly poached peaches and apricots, fresh raspberries, prunes and orange segments. I had a delicious poached egg and we finished off with home made marmalade and toast. My coffee was definitely the best tasting of the whole trip. It was next to the cheapest B&B of the whole trip and up there with the best, you really don't want to go anywhere else in Kington. Oh, and our boots were waiting for us on the mat, dry and ready for our next days walk ahead. Thank you John and Jill.

Her ladyship booked us in to Arrowbank Lodge for a treat, whilst visiting the Kington Wheelbarrow Race and for a Fathers Day visit.
Tucked down a quaint lane at the side of the Arrow, just over the bridge as you enter Kington. This well presented B&B has a lovely outlook, secure parking, comfy bed with super sheets/towels and a fabulous en-suite shower. The conservatory was a lovely place to sit, particularly when enjoying our cooked breakfast on departure day.
Jill was a great hostess and John a great cook (as he will confirm..lol) and we're more than happy to recommend you stay.

Room Tip: We had the double room which was fine.

Fabulous from start to finish! It had been very wet on walk & we were worried about arriving so muddy. No need: warm welcome & asked for our wet gear which was prompty taken and returned dry the next morning. Scones & tea much appreciated as was friendliness of Jill and John. Another couple arrived and they too were made most welcome and we all sat round chatting. House extremely well appointed (great big towels!). Owners arranged meal in local resaurant (very good). Breakfast really good (although we disappointed John by not having the full breakfast) and as was packed lunch: salad in box a super idea as lettuce, cucumber, celery all individually wrapped, easy to eat & refreshing. Spot on! Thank you!

Room Tip: Master over-looking the river: really good!

What a gem - Arrowbank Lodge has to be one of my all time favourite B&B's. We'll definitely stay again when we're next in the area. A warm welcome, gorgeous room, lovely hosts and fab breakfast. Excellent value for money.

Room Tip: We had the master bedroom which overlooked the river.
