What a gem - Arrowbank Lodge has to be one of my all time favourite B&B's. We'll definitely stay again when we're next in the area. A warm welcome, gorgeous room, lovely hosts and fab breakfast. Excellent value for money.

Room Tip: We had the master bedroom which overlooked the river.

I stayed one night in late August 2012 while I was walking on Offa's Dyke path. John was a wonderful and attentive host (Jill was away and I did not get to meet her): warm welcome (tea and biscuits waiting), excellent cooked breakfast, great recommendations on restaurants... John even took care of my wet hiking boots. The room and bathroom were spotless and comfortable. Lying in bed with the sound of the Arrow river in the background was most enjoyable. Very peaceful and only a short walk to the town centre.

Stayed her for three nights recently. Our bedroom was very comfortable and clean. Our hosts, John & Jill were both helpful and sociable and our cooked breakfasts most enjoyable. Would recommend Arrowbank Lodge to anyone looking for short stay accommodation.

This was not a planned stay. We telephoned on the off chance as the weather was so beautiful and the area an absolute delight. We were welcomed by Jill, and offered tea and scones on the wonderful terrace overlooking the River Arrow. We had selected to stay in the double en suite which was very clean, and nicely decorated. Arrowbank does only have 3 rooms . However, the twin bedded one does have its own priavte bathroom opposite, and that room is superb as well. The only room we didnt see was the master bedroom, which judging from the picture must be fantastic. We had dinner at the , Oxford Arms which may look a little run down when you get inside, but the food was delicious, and the landlord was great,. Breakfast at Arrowbank ,cooked by John, was served in the dining room (or conservtory, )and was 1st class. . Kington itself is a village that time seems to have forgotten, charming.; If you are not solely walking Offa's Dyke, call in to Hergest Croft Gardens. What a treat, we seemed to have the place virtually to ourselves, you could hear the silence, and the gardens , (not formal), are equisite . The only downside to our visit was the fact we could only stay one night. Well done Jil and John,. for a wonderful B and B ,and Herfordshire, the forgotten County!

Room Tip: All rooms are either en suite or have a private bathroom.

We've stayed at Arrowbank Lodge three times and have had a great time on all three occasions. The room was clean, comfortable and had all you could reasonably wish for. The breakfasts are superb. John and Jill are generous and welcoming hosts and anyone staying here is assured of a wonderful experience.

My wife and I stayed here while walking Offa's Dyke and had an excellent stay. The proprietors were very welcoming, offering us a terrific tea when we arrived, and breakfast was grand. The room was very clean and comfortable and the surroundings were charming--tranquil serenity. Say hello to the sheep across the river!
