Bredward Farm

Just spent another 2 days at Bredward Farm. The perfect relaxing way to end our holiday. Lorraine and Ian so friendly and welcoming and make you feel part of their beautiful farm as soon as you arrive. Will be back again - for the 4th time - next year.

Another stay in Radnor, the magical shepherd's hut at Bredward Farm. As well kitted-out as ever and the breakfast brought to the door every morning was just as good as I remembered; so was the welcome. The one place I ever return to. Love it.

A friend and I stayed here as part of our Freerein riding holiday. Both the horses and ourselves were very well looked after. The place was immaculate, tastefully furnished, food good and welcome very warm.

My husband and I have just spent a lovely weekend in an authentic "Shepherd's Hut". You wouldn't get a warmer welcome anywhere. Lorraine and Ian were fab hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The Shepherd's hut was amazing we were very tempted to tow it home! It was so warm and comfy a perfect "glamping" weekend on lovely friendly picturesque campsite. The hut is situated under the shade of trees by a lake, absolutely idyllic.
The cooked breakfast which Lorraine delivered to our door was a real treat.
The campsite was very peacful with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. There is so much to see and do in the surrounding area. Kington has a good choice of friendly pubs with good food. We walked a small section of Offas Dyke which is close by. A hidden gem. We will be back.

My wife and I came for the second time in May 2013 to participate in a hot air balloon meet at Bredward Farm. Unfortunately the weather was against us so we spent the time at the Hay-on-Wye Festival not too far away.

We were told how good Bredward Farm was and how welcoming Ian and Lorraine were. The comments were wholly justified. We stayed in the farmhouse itself and had a downstairs conservatory lounge (with TV) to use whenever we wanted. The breakfast was monumental, enough to last all day! And we could feed the ducks at the front door. A truly lovely place.

Room Tip: Try to get the double room

My partner and I spent 3 nights at the May bank holiday weekend in the shepherds hut and it lived up to all of our expectations. What a great way to camp - normally when we go camping we haul a car full of tent and all its accompaniments with us but this was so light touch, all we had to do was take ourselves, as everything we needed, and more, was thoughtfully provided in the hut. We felt a bit guilty on the cold nights with the smoke bellowing out of our little chimney as we kept warm and cosy by the wood burning stove, while the other campers tried to keep from freezing in their tents.... Lorraine delivered her full English breakfast to us in the morning, another highlight, which kept us going through a good part of the day. The countryside here is beautiful and this is the perfect base to explore it. Also some great local friendly pubs with good food just a short drive away. We'll definitely be going back for some more.... Emma & David.

No complaints. Met at the door with a smile which continued through my stay. Very flexible hours and a real farnhouse breakfast in the morning with lots of toast. The camping field boasts a couple of 'shepherds huts' available to rent and a large pond with wild fowl with their young to entertain you. As a working farm there's lots going on to interest the kids.

Room Tip: Both bedrooms overlooking the beautifully kept garden full of birds entertaining from the breakfast...
