A big thanks to the team.

We were first impressed by the politeness and professionalism of the reception, even when we requested to change rooms as a xmas party was just starting in the part of the hotel where our room was located. We were not rushed to swap our luggage and help was offered. The rooms are rather big and nicely decorated.

The restaurant team is young and still needs a bit training. But the older colleagues did more than compensate and again, impressed with politeness and professionalism. The menue choice is rather small, but what we tried was excellent. We never would have expected such quality and decoration of each dish.
Only minus point was that some staff started preparing the room for breakfast while guest were still around.

Also next day at checkout, everything very smooth, always with a smile and.....very polite.

We definitely recommend Shendish Manor and will come back when there will be another opportunity.

Beautiful room overlooking the front lawn. Excellent well appointed room, lovely bathroom with tons of shampoo etc

My only criticism is about the service in the restaurant. Every individual we met was friendly and lovely, but management team, you need to up your game. The waiters/waitresses are crying out for good training.

Our food was slow, delivered to the wrong table, there was no spoon for the soup, the water never arrived. The actual food was delicious, but I don’t think they meant for the guests in the dining room to be swapping plates, passing each other cutlery etc. It bonded the customers in laughter, but I’m pretty sure that wasn’t the plan

Stayed for a couple of nights whilst visiting the Harry Potter studio tour and London. The outside of the old part of the hotel and the grounds look impressive. Check in was a little disorganised and delayed due to a problem with the key cards but was soon sorted and we were accompanied to our room by a pleasant but paint splattered maintenance person. The room was large and looked comfortable but unfortunately the beds and pillows were quite hard, lumpy and uncomfortable. The bathroom was ok but the bath very narrow and shower head not that powerful. Great towels though! For a 4* hotel we’d expect bathrobes and also a bottle of water included with the hospitality tray. We ate in the restaurant on one evening and were disappointed with the taste of our food. The Thai green curry was extremely fiery (far hotter than a green curry should be!) It was eatable but ridiculously hot and the taste resembled nothing like a Thai green curry should be in fact it tasted of nothing really just heat. The service in the restaurant and bar although extremely friendly was pretty disorganised and we decided against a desert after the table near us were waiting for theirs for a very very long time! Also we were initially presented with a very limited and uninspiring festive menu and only when we enquired about other choices that were listed on the room service menu were we given the alternative bar menu. The same happened at desert time too. Breakfast was good although some of the cooked items from the buffet were not piping hot. All in all our stay was generally pleasant but a few tweaks could make this a fantastic place.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the furniture and details are not in the best state. Apart from that I had a wonderful stay. The room was huge, very elegant and classy. I appreciated the iron and the (a bit noisy) jacuzzi. Nice touch the different tea bags and cookies.
The bed wasn't really comfy but acceptable. No noise at night. Breakfast and dinner were pretty good with a vaste choice of food. Staff was really kind and professional. The garden was stunning.

Spent one night at this hotel and enjoyed a faultless stay.
Lovely hotel in an old Manor House and grounds, reception staff were pleasant and helpful, and evening meal and breakfast were also really good.
