The location is perfect for London. Staff warm and friendly, food high quality and made to your order and taste. Rooms very comfy. Altogether excellent service and value in every department. A very pleasant experience as nothing was too much trouble.

Just returned from an overnight stay at boxmoor lodge, with a family of 2 adults and 2 boys, after visiting Harry potter studios. What a relaxing stay! Despite being close to main road so easy to find! The location is peaceful with outside areas to sit and chill! We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather so took advantage of the restaurant at the hotel and ate outside! Top quality food too! Would definately recommend. Breakfast more than you could eat too! Service was very personal and friendly which added to the stay. There was a large function in the marquee but it didn't interfere with our stay as was completely separate from our room! The rooms were all set around a courtyard which added to the privacy. Would definately recommend and stay again!

We had a family room and it was lovely and clean and pure white crisp sheets on the bed :-) always a plus! We spotted a little bit of dust on the chair leg and cupboard, but thats just being picky! Overall it was very clean and the shower was lovely. You are also given complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee which added that special touch.
Usually when we go away i dread the showers but this one was lovely!
The spare sofa bed was made up and folded up but it didnt take 5 minutes to un fold it and put some pillows on it. From previous reviews we were a little bit worried about the train noise, but it didnt affect us in anyway. The breakfast was lovely with such a varied choice i reccommend the full english it was delicious! We had plenty of tea and coffee & offered toast once our first round ran out. Would reccommend this hotel to anyone it was lovely :-)

Warm friendly welcome even though we arrived some four hours earlier than advertised check-in time! Room was ready and as described. Free parking very welcome in area where this might be otherwise difficult. Characterful place, lovely atmosphere, great food and wonderful whiskey variety for a small hotel bar. What really makes it stand out though is that it's owner-run, with personable people with a can-do culture. Even assisted us with vehicle non-start upon departure, nothing was too much trouble for them! big advantage of nearby train station (but didn't hear it from hotel) straight through to wembley. I like to have a moan when things aren't right, but this place didn't give the opportunity - almost home from home! Thanks to all at Boxmoor Lodge!

Room Tip: Didn't hear any complaints!

Boxmoor Lodge recently hosted a visitor I had due over from the US ,managing to put him up for a few nights at last minutes notice and Andy kindly arranged an evening meal for us and a few friends. The service was friendly and very welcoming and the food was outstanding, (I had the soup to start and rack of lamb for the main, both lovely)

Would definitely recommend to come and eat here

Boxmoor Lodge until recently was one of our local restaurants which we ate in occasionally when we wanted a special evening out. However, we have now stayed overnight twice - on New Years Eve and Valentines Night so that we could enjoy the hospitality and not worry about driving home. Both nights were excellent - the hotel is actually motel style (but with 2 floors) with a covered walkway, most of the route to the reception, dining room and bar. Car parking is therefore right outside your room making it easy to access with your luggage. The rooms are very nice - all have a sofa/coffee table and plenty of storage space - something that is often lacking in modern hotels. What sets Boxmoor apart thought is the excellent food - you will not find a large menu for dinner but it is quality not quantity. The wine list though is quite large and you can try the wine sold by the glass before you make your choice. The staff are friendly and welcoming and it is clear that many regulars return time and time again - as do we.

Room Tip: If you do not want to walk up stairs ask for a ground floor room - on the other hand if you want to...
