Second stay at this convenient holiday inn express. Not dissappointed. Room very clean and breakfast more than adequate. Will use again when in this area as the hotel is superbly located near apsley locks and the canal walks are invigorating.

We have stayed here for 2 nights and it's in a good location for local attractions or for getting into London. The rooms have been refurbished to a good standard and overall the hotel offers good value for money. The staff have been helpfull and breakfast was satisfactory.

We stayed for two nights first night was good so we booked again second night was awful there was banging in the room next to us the house keepers was shouting down the corridor to each other are first room had no hot water and the only room they had left was a family room and we was told oh it just a sofa bed set up to find it was actually a sofa bed and a cot witch gave us no room the breakfast was scrambled eggs beans sausages and cereal and croissants ... That's not a proper breakfast I was very disappointed by are second night the only bad thing on the first night was the rude night porter

Dear Cjbubble,

Thank you for sharing your experience regarding your recent stay. Your feedback is important in our continuous drive for excellence.

I am sorry to hear that the noise from our housekeepers negatively affected your stay with us. Regarding breakfast selections, strict guidelines are set by the hotel as to what can be offered to differentiate ourselves from other brands, I apologize if this didn't meet your expectations.

It is only with both positive and negative feedback that we can strive to improve our service to our guests and I do hope that you will consider staying with us again.

Sincerely,

We stayed in this hotel our first night in the UK, driving there from Heathrow. While the hotel is very clean and modern, our best experience was with Terri Gillings, the guest service manager. She spent a great deal of time helping us to sort out our issue with our rental car, advising us of where to go to get the fuse we needed (rather than wait 2 hours for Europcar) so we could plug in and charge our GPS. I cannot say enough good about Ms. Gillings. She made us want to stay in this hotel - chosen merely for road convenience - again. While we were only overnight guest on the way elsewhere, I would definitely use this hotel again.

The location is the selling point for this hotel. By the canal with a great pub next door. If you manage to stay on a nice day the seating outside the pub is great. The HI express is clean and tidy as you would expect - no suprises

Stayed here after flying back from holiday into Luton on a bank holiday weekend. Think it took about 25mins from Airparks long-term parking about 9 o'clock on a Friday evening. Easy parking which I was slightly concerned about given previous reviews. Entrance is just a small entrance lobby with stairs and lift up to reception on the first floor.
Check in was quick, but I was a little perturbed that the request for a cot wasn't on the system especially given the late hour, but was told it would be done immediately. When we got our luggage and went to our room the cot was all set up, however we add a phone call gone 11pm (all asleep) to ask if they could put the cot in the room or was it too late!! Obviously a mix up, but not sure why they didn't try and put a cot in the room immediately after I checked in, and not wait until an hour or so later.
Room was quite small with bed settee, but adequate. Duvet was absolutely lovely and the pillows suited me which doesn't happen very often, and we had a very quiet night. Breakfast was just right, plentiful and pretty good quality, especially the sausages. The toaster as most conveyor ones are was inept at toasting golden brown on both sides, and there weren't even any knobs to meddle with either! The breakfast lady was very friendly and helpful and made a real fuss of our little boy. Check-out as quick as check-in. Would definitely stay here again if I needed to stay in the area.
